Agave Bar and Grill

Always good food and the ice tea is the best in the state.  Ask about the specials.

Food is good. Service is AWFUL.

Monday nights are half priced appetizers and good drink specials. The appetizers have a huge selection and they are usually very good. I recommend the buffalo wings or the queso and I would stay away from the armadillo eggs.

I can personally recommend the fajita's and the prime rib sandwich they are both really good. The chicken fried steak is also heavenly and hamburgers are awesome.

They always have drink specials however you won't know what they are unless you can get it out of your waiter who probably doesn't know what the specials are even though they are ALWAYS the same. (Pick up a weekly flyer at the entrance to the restaurant)

I am giving Agave such a poor score because I have NEVER had good service at their restaurant. I have gone in with groups or with one other person and it has never improved. The hostess is friendly and usually gets you seated quickly although she may  grumble about having to put tables together for a group. It on average takes 5 minuets for anyone to come ask you what you would like to drink and even longer to get it brought to the table. (Just go get drinks from the bar) They come and take your order and then don't come back until your food is ready, which is irritating because you can often see them conversing with other waiters while your needing a drink refill. I have never had my drink stay over half way full and often I have to flag someone down to get a drink. It makes me feel bad for having to seem so needy but really it's your job to service your customers.  

I honestly have stopped eating at the Agave because of the poor service. I really hope to see it change.
