Hubby and I stopped here on the way back from MN. Hubby loves Applebee's southwestern salad. I had a soup and salad combo. He said his salad tasted like it had been put on ice. My soup and salad was ok... Something you would expect at a chain. The soup tasted like spaghetti sauce. It was tomato basil. Meh. No bread when we asked. It's only for people that order pasta dishes.
See photos of our dishes.
There were about 5 or 6 wait staff for 10 tables and they still took their sweet time. Â Our waiter was lackadaisical. Hubby's salad came with a 'schmear' Â of his sauce on the plate showing they didn't take the time to wipe it in the kitchen. Sounds picky, but just an example of their attitude. If you are traveling southeast on 94 and are hankering for something at Applebees, go a bit further to Black River Falls. The yelpers give that a better rating. Maybe next time we'll stop there.
