A big disappointment. Â
Service was friendly enough but it was downhill after we were seated at a very small booth where he couldn't help but step on my feet.
Dirty flatware was not a good sign after we were reseated at a table where we were able to maneuver seating so as not to rub shoulders with tables on either side of us. Â
We ordered a meal for two for $20 but it wasn't worth even that. Â The appetizer of boneless chicken wings was way too salty and therefore inedible. Â My oriental chicken salad was OK but his special pasta dish was dry and not good.
We should have learned our lesson at an Applebee's elsewhere but we didn't. Â I will avoid going to another Applebee's anywhere from now on.
we were driving cross country for the new job in california.. our 3 your old was screaming his head off.. my wife was yelling at me (for reasons i have no idea what they were).. we were going to try to make it to colorado.. but these conditions made that impossible.. unlikely.. painful..
we stopped here... the waitress saw the pain in our faces.. the defeated tiredness.. and she couldn't have been kinder.. she saved our trip... and for this 5 stars...
was the food good.. probably not.. it is Applebees after all.. but the service.. the people made this place a welcome, enjoyable and marriage saving spot..
that was 4 years ago.. and i still remember the moment the waitress at the applebees.. in nebraska.. saved our trip
