April's Country Kitch'n is a very small-town local diner of sorts. Â The food was very reasonable, with the most expensive thing on the menu being about $10 dollars. Â It was clear that this is a local establishment with a lot of regular customers. Â The servers were very friendly and helpful.
I ordered the Favorite #1, which was roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. Â The helping was very large and I could only eat about half of it. Â The gravy tasted like it was from a jar, but the roast beef was flavorful, although not really the same as your mom's roast beef.
My colleague ordered the senior citizen's special, which is available for anyone over 50. Â She ordered spaghetti and sauce and, again, she thought the sauce tasted like it was from a can. Â The spaghetti came with a side, and options were macaroni salad, cole slaw, or applesauce--nothing that really goes with spaghetti.
Overall, it was not a bad meal, but nothing great either.
