  Food was always okay but nothing great. Service was always slow. Havent been in a over a year.

  Called tonight to make a reservation for four of us for two birthday dinners. Manger told me they didn't take reservations during pheasant season to many angry hunters if they did. Manager suggested I come right over tonight as there was no wait. We left right away and got there in about 15 minutes from our hotel.  Once we were there we got our drinks and order placed immediately. But then..... it took 30 minutes to get our salads and another 25 minutes and still no steaks or hamburger we had ordered. Found waitress to see what hold up was. Apparently a large party on bar side and not enough staff to help. People on the restaurant side were getting upset because everything was taking so long. We asked waitress to see how much longer and she had no idea. So we asked for ticket and to at least comp our salads she told me to speak to manager which I did. Manager blamed it on waitress for not telling us about delay. Reminded manager I had just called and spoke with her directly and she had made no mention then of large party and extended wait.  Told her she basically had understaffed her restaurant and wanted her to comp salads and that we would pay for our beers we had had. She started to resist and I reminded her it was the least she could do and that she should have told customers about delay. Waitress was working her butt off but it just pissed me off that this so called manager/owner was blaming the waitress of all things for her lack of judgement on a busy sat night. I don't wait tables but could tell the waitress was not slacking off just the so called manager. We did get our salads comped and found someplace else to eat. Next time you want a steak or a burger there is McDonald's or taco bell and you can get a steak taco. Won't go back to attitudes ever. Now I understand why the hunters get angry!
