Been coming here for about 10 years now, each time we stay at Pleasant Hill, Shaker Town. Â We love to eat where locals do, and this is a gem. Â Family owned home cooking, where the proprietor is there, slinging the hash with all his kin. Â Open at 5 am or so for the farmers. Â Best biscuits I've ever had--they split them, coat them in butter and put them on the griddle face down. Â It's very traditional country fare--eggs, bacon, country ham, etc...all served on melamine plates like elementary school :) Â Great brown beans and cornbread and fried hot dogs, too! Â Don't forget to get a piece of oatmeal pie for the road :)
