    Amazing Food! Great Dessert Selection!

I really can't stand this place. The food is pretty crappy and the service even worse. They're more or less the only game in town, so I'd recommend staying in and cooking.

This place was terrific until they changed the menu this Spring. Now everything is blackened and extremely spicy. We used to never be able to decide there were so many good choices, potstickers, pastas, great fish  chicken, and meat dishes but not any more. Now they seemed to have regressed to a food trend   That thinks if it is not complicated and loaded with spice it' s not good. Too bad ,they had a nice staff and atmosphere. Now I' ll have to go elsewhere.

There aren't many options for a good meal in Littleton, but bailiwicks is definitely one of them! We purchased a Yelp deal, and headed to dinner. We sat in the bar area, which I think is the way to go - much better ambiance, and shared a few of the appetizers. Overall we had great service, great food, and great drinks! I will definitely be back!

Enjoyed a wonderful meal here tonite. The steak was amongst the best I've had in a long time. The staff is accommodating and very professional. The crime brûlée was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

The food was excellent, the staff was very accommodating for our rowdy crew in a hurry to get home from a weekend-long party up in Montreal. The Buffalo wings are indeed spectacular, and are honestly the best wings I've ever had! The flavor was so intense when I first tried to take a bite, I got choked up a bit. They aren't very spicy in my opinion, but I do eat a lot of very spicy food, so they may be quite hot for some.

I highly recommend stopping in for a meal here if your in the area or just passing through. You'll be glad you did.

I came here for brunch a year ago on a Sunday during the summer months, and it was THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! The food was delicious, and each meal was paired with a drink! DEVINE Bloody Mary's! It was strange, that nearly no one was at this restaurant when we were there - where was everyone? They were missing out! Oh well, more for us!

We came here a couple of weekends ago on a Saturday, looking forward to this brunch. It was sad to find out that brunch is only on Sundays. This being said, we ordered a couple of Bloody's, which were delicious, but probably not the smartest idea without any food in our tummies!

We will be back -- but I will be sure it is on a Sunday!

We've stayed upstairs at the Thayer Inn twice in recent years.  We also do 3-4 day weekends often, usually staying closer to Bretton Woods.  We always stop in here to dine during these trips.

The strength of this place is actually in the bartending staff.    They're all young (well to me, I overheard one of them moaning that she was old, which had me laughing to my wife.  We had to be twice her age),   but they know how to make a martini.  I stick with the classics, which are always superb.  My wife ends up describing in general terms what she wants,  Something with chocolate. Not to sweet though!   And so on. She doesn't know what goes in it, but knows what she likes.   And everytime the bartender comes up with something she loves.

As for the wine by the glass, I had a Savignon Blanc that I didn't like much.  And a Syrah that was pretty good.   My wife had a Chard, that was mezza-mezz too. I think maybe stick with the reds if you're doing it by the glass.

The food's pretty good.  (Tim-Bir down the block is better,  but Tim-Bir is better than 98% of all restaurants in New England, period).   The Ahi Tuna is outstanding, just seared a second on each side.   I could've used a touch more wasabi, but otherwise no complaints at all about it.  The risotto was a bit al dente. I forgot about that until I saw someone else here mention that.   We had a couple of apps as part of our lodging deal this trip.  The calimari was nice.  The crab cakes even better.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Our party of six waited over an hour between when our salads were cleared and our main courses arrived - which were mediocre at best. There was no explanation, apology or concession on the bill. Maybe it was an off night (a Saturday), but I would never go there again or recommend anyone else go there.

My husband and i had a great dinner here tonight. I had a pear-fect storm martini and my husband had a nice cabernet. Great selection of wines and martinis. We started with the baked goat cheese. It was a perfect appetizer portion with goat cheese balls, grilled bread and salad. For entrees, We ordered the steak au poivre and the salmon. The steak was cooked nicely with a crust of peppercorn and brandy cream sauce. Delicious! The salmon was also very good but we both liked the steak better. To end the meal, we finished with a tres leche dessert. It was sweet and pretty good, not the best I've had but passable. Overall, the service was good, atmosphere very cosy and we enjoyed eating here thanks to Yelp again. We'll definitely come back to try some other dishes.

If you ever come to Littleton, NH and have not been to Balliwick's then you have missed out on a little slice of heaven. You can never go wrong with the revolving ravioli. The bayou chicken is absolutely delicious and the service is great.

If you are staying in Littleton, NH your dining options are pretty limited.  Was there two nights and ended up eating here twice because I refuse to go to Applebee's while on vacation and the other nice place in town (Tim-Bir Ally) is closed Mon-Wed.  The first night gets about a 2.5 to 3 stars.  The wine we chose wasn't that great (not their fault I guess), the server was generally disinterested in us the entire night and the food was just ok.  The server didn't bother telling us they didn't have the wine we ordered...so she just brought another glass without asking.  A small quibble but really...quit being so damn lazy and just ask next time.  I ordered the cod dinner because I had been feasting on beef for three days straight and actually starting to feel like a cow.  The woman got the wasabi and sesame crusted Tuna.  Nothing special about either.  Tuna was a little over cooked and loaded with wasabi, the risotto it came with was crunchy (quite undercooked, Gordon Ramsey would have burst a blood vessel screaming about it)...the cod was just cod.  After I ordered I was like shit...I just ordered cod.  The best part of my meal was the butternut squash puree.   We did a shitty job of ordering this night.

Round two was much more successful.  Decided to get back on the beef train so we both had steaks. We had the Ribeye and Filet...medium rare of course.  Filet was perfectly cooked and fantastic...and tonight they nailed the mushroom risotto it is served with.  My ribeye was medium, which was kind of a bummer...it would have been way better med-rare.  As usual I ate it anyway because I was starving and didn't want to overshadow the perfectly cooked filet on the plate across the table from me.  The Outback is still the most consistent steak place I have ever been too...not sure why other cooks cannot seem to get it right.  Anyway, night # 2 was an overall WAY better experience.  Better wine, better service and better food.  After seeing a half dozen strip steaks roll out of the kitchen I was kicking myself for not ordering one of them.  They looked fantastic.  Next time maybe....

The space is cool and you do get the feeling like the kitchen has potential, especially for such a small town.  Every restaurant has an off night and we got that the first night, also because I ordered the f'in cod...idiot.  I felt they had it in them to serve a better meal and I'm glad we gave it a 2nd shot.

Great place to eat, although not easy on the wallet. I had the Vera Cruz Salmon and it was delicious! It was fresh and I also substituted the rice pilaf for veggies and those appeared to be fresh too. The service was great and the view outside was great.

I've been coming up to Littleton for the last 4 years and never thought to go into the Thayers Hotel for their restaurant. We always had a hard time finding some place to eat dinner whenever we stayed in Littleton, but no more.

Service was impeccable. Franky (I think) was our server and was prompt and very very good. Funny, accommodating, and helpful.

The drink I had was called a cabana boy, consisting of peach vodka, peach schnapps, and calypso lemonade. I'm normally not a peach person, but I would order it again. Very balanced.

I ordered the pork potsticker/dumpling appetizer, and man, they were DELICIOUS. They rival a legitimate Japanese restaurant. They were also small, so they didn't fill you up, and did their job as an appetizer. They also came as duck and chicken.

I got the panko crusted cod sandwich. I was expecting the "fresh fish flown in daily" advertisement to be a farce, but it was very, very good cod. Growing up near the coast, I know this was fresh. The breading was light, and it was a good size sandwich, with homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce. I would get it again. A friend of mine got the pulled pork and it was spectacular. That'll be my next entree choice.

Dessert happened on a whim since we were all full by the end of the meal. A friend and I split the creme brulee, and that was the perfect way to end the meal. It wasn't heavy, and it wasn't a huge portion, and it was still warm, and the sugar done perfectly.

Overall, the service and quality of the food was mind-blowing. Needless to say we won't have a problem finding a place to eat when we come up here again. The only thing I would recommend is to call ahead and put in a reservation. The place is a little on the small side, and we were lucky just to walk in at 5 o'clock on a Thursday night and it not be packed, but 20 minutes later they started packing them in.

I discovered this place, with the help of Yelp, while I was up in NH skiing.  This is def a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere.  The entrance to this place threw me off at first.  Felt like I was entering some guys basement.  I also did not expect a place like this to be up in ski country and maybe there are more places like this, I just haven't discovered them yet.  Needless to say, great find.

This restaurant was like being in Boston.  Its a pricey place, but def not as expensive as it would be dining in the heart of Beantown.  The atmosphere was really relaxing, with music in the background and a very youthful ambiance that you would usually find dining out in a big city.  The place was also packed with people looking for good food.  The food is right up there with the greats and the service was right on target.

If you're ever up near Littleton, NH you def need to hit this place up.  Trust me.  It gets the Greeks 5 star seal of approval.  Props to the owner and cooks and the wait staff.  This is how a restaurant should be run and this proves that you don't need the big city location to back you up, when you have a fine establishment such as this.

We have been vacationing faithfully in Littleton for well over ten years. Six or seven years ago we "discovered" Bailiwicks and were hooked. A gourmet restaurant nestled in the basement of the self-proclaimed " Historical Thayers Inn" ( honestly, I'm still not sure why it's historical....but who cares the foods good). The space is small, intimate and comforting. Their martini list is extensive and interesting. The menu is divided by category ; red meat, seafood, poultry, and vegetarian.  Unfortunately, based on our most recent visit something changed.. .and not for the better. The waitress ,who was extremely pleasant, tried with limited success to appear upbeat as she announced all the items on the menu that were no longer available or were only prepared on the weekend - even though the menu made no mention of that fact...if prime rib is only available on weekends please note it on the menu and don't get my hopes up!. We took her direction to heart and then upon ordering discovered that other items were also no longer on the menu.... If you read a description for Lime-Coconut Shrimp and then are told, " that should be shrimp cocktail but we haven't changed the menu yet" needless to say its disappointing and makes it appear that they are flailing without direction.
My better half ordered the pork potstickers and they were flavorful and succulent. On the other hand, the calamari ,which I have ordered numerous times before and always found delicious were so heavily breaded and under seasoned that they were almost Inedible. If I had thrown one at the wall it would have dented the plaster...  it was that hard!  The accompaniments ( sundried tomatoes, olives, and roasted red peppers) were numerous in an obvious attempt to fill the plate and cover the subpar seafood, The advertised dipping sauce was non existent!  I'm sorry to say that it was easily the worst calamari I've had in years.
Her entree was a filet mignon that was advertised to be accompanied by mascarpone mashed potatoes , instead it came with roasted fingerling potatoes. Not bad but not what was ordered. My pork chop, which I had made a special point of requesting pink in the center, was overcooked but still flavorful. The garlic thyme rosemary rub was fragrant and the mushroom risotto was heavenly and easiily the highlight of the night.
I've always highly recommended Bailiwicks and sincerely hope that this experience was a fluke and not symptomatic of their new direction. I'm sorry to have to give only three stars and I sincerely hope they regain their footing. This place was a gem

I struggled majorly with the star rating for this restaurant.  We went here last year right before my wedding with my parents and had an incredible meal.  I would rate it five stars.  The food here is really top notch, the place has a nice, cozy ambiance, and all of the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, although service can be a little slow (but in a nice, relaxing way, not in a pulling-out-my-hair-where-is-my-food sort of way).  They also have an awesome cocktail list and every drink I've had here has been great.

So the hubby and I came back on our anniversary to have a special meal together that we were really looking forward to.  We made reservations for 7:30, arrived a few minutes early and were immediately seated at our reserved table.  The place was packed.  It took a few minutes for our waitress to arrive as a result, but once she did she was great.   Since we had been waiting for a few minutes we had time to look at the menu and ordered our entire meal, including salads, appetizer, dinner, and drinks on the spot.  Our cocktails arrived, delicious as always, followed by our salads.  The salads were fresh with a delicious balsamic dressing.

Then things got weird, which is why I had to take away a star.  The waitress brought out another salad for us in place of our requested appetizer.  When I questioned why that was, she returned to the kitchen to check and came back, announcing apologetically that there was a problem in the kitchen.   Apparently there was a mixup in where their propane deliveries and none was shipped to the restaurant that day, so they were out of gas and couldn't cook anything, including our appetizers and meal.  They ended up having to turn away everyone who had arrived for dinner.  Our drinks and salads were comped and we ended up ordering takeout that night at an AWFUL Mexican restaurant instead, which was a major bummer (check out my review of Alburritos for THAT stellar experience).  We left a tip for the waitress for what we had eaten so far, because I felt bad that her night was basically also going to be ruined as a result.

With that said, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because I truly believe it was a freak accident and not something that regularly occurs here.  It's pretty telling that I was more bummed about the fact I wasn't going to get to eat the delicious ravioli special they had posted for the night than I was irritated by the abrupt end to the night.  I would definitely go back there again for dinner the next time I visit Littleton.  The food is really great, honestly probably the best place in the area to eat, and for vegetarians, they actually have SEVERAL vegetarian options on their menu.

Everything about Bailiwicks is top notch. It is a little gem in Littleton. Casual or dressy, anything goes. The food is delicious, and they have a vast selection of drinks. The crab cakes are superb. So glad they have expanded!

Our favorite restaurant!  Love the food, love the staff.  We have a lot of choices but we always go to Bailiwicks.  My husband always gets the pork chop and I like to try different things. Last time there I had the crab cakes and they were magnificent, perfectly cooked and absolutely delightful.  Always look forward to visiting, can't wait until next time!

We discovered Bailiwicks a few years ago, when on a ski vacation. This restaurant should be used as a model for others to follow. This jazzy, dimly lit, warm and inviting restaurant has it all. A creative menu sure to please all. Can't wait until next time!

I wish they had this <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> coupon when we ate here! But I know that if I am ever back in this are and  looking for somewhere nice and fun to eat dinner, Baliwicks will be my #1 choice.

It is in tiny Littleton, NH and you enter through a side door, but the moment you step in you are welcomed by very warm orange colored lights twinkling on the ceiling in an otherwise dark and dim restaurant, that instantly gives you a sense of excitement. The bar area is very small, so unless you have a reservation, there isn't much waiting room, but they do have quite the cocktail list, so  I strongly suggest one of those! Watch out for some of the wine mark ups however :-)

We were seated early at our table and then enjoyed a very tasty goat cheese starter where we had to ask for more bread/crackers being the carb and cheese lovers that we are. Then we each got an entree all of which were very tasty and  nicely prepared with great presentation, except the porkchop my mom ordered was definitely overcooked...So sad too, since it looked so pretty! I got their wasabi encrusted tuna which was very tasty especially the seaweed salad on the side, but the wasabi wasn't as evenly spread as it should have been with some bites being very very wasabied (if that is a verb ha ha). The scallops Matt J. got were by far the best dish, and I was happy to be at a place that didn't overcook those since they are so easy to overcook.

All in all, it was a lovely night out for dinner, and we were definitely glad to have picked this location to enjoy our leaf peeping weekend!

Would not have expected that food like this exists in a tiny town in New Hampshire, but I'm glad it does.

Had the ahi tuna, and it was delicious.  Plus, any place that has a drink called the "Naughty Bedtime Story" on their menu is a winner in my book.

We arrived in Littleton around dinner time and decided to eat at the hotel restaurant instead of roaming the downtown streets.  How fortunate!  Although it was a busy Sunday night and most of the dining tables were reserved, we were able to get seating in the bar area.

Each table offers a brown bag of peanuts with a little tin bucket for shells.  My daughter thought that was cute.

Beer:  good god, y'all!  The steins held a good 36 ounces and took two hands to lift!

We decided to be 'picky' eaters after the long car ride and ordered a few appetizers.  The baked goat cheese was heavenly, creamy goodness.  The duck stickers were sweet and satisfying.  The real surprise ended up being the mussels, which were ordered on a whim.  Living so close to the ocean, we didn't hold out too much hope for a mountain restaurant tucked two hours inland.  How wrong we were!  The mollusks had nary a trace of sand, cooked in a onion based broth and melted in the mouth.  Any seafood lover would be a fool not to order them.

My daughter had a HUGE hamburger made from a great cut of meat.

Everyone was happy!  Everything was ultra fresh.  How can you not love a restaurant that has a picture of Bette Davis?

The only con (and certainly not the restaurant's fault) was a loud woman at the bar who made frequent use of expletives.  She certainly taught me some new vocabulary!

    Reservations are definitely recommended!

Amazing food, lovely waitstaff, great selection of beer! Warm, welcoming ambiance, love the amber lights and Audrey Hepburn in the bathroom.

The chocolate ravioli for dessert was absolutely outrageous. A surprise awesome find in a little country town like Littleton. Worth a visit for sure!!

Oh, how I wish we did not have an overtired toddler in tow when we dined here on a recent family vacation! I would have enjoyed a lot more time to linger over the sweet pea-mascarpone ravioli in champagne-cream sauce over a bed of arugula! A true gem of a fine-dining restaurant in a rural area of NH.

But the toddler in tow did not distract me from the lovely, warm decor, and actually gave rise to an opportunity for the staff to demonstrate true hospitality and kind service in their dealing with us as a rushed, messy family. Our waitress (Kara?) took excellent care of us, catering to our son's needs (delivering crayons and scrap paper, a big bowl of macaroni and cheese, chatting with him to give us 10 seconds to eat....). She packed up our desserts to go, which we later enjoyed after our son was asleep!

The menu still haunts me. The next time we are in the area I'm definitely hiring a babysitter so we can have a nice long meal, with several courses and time to breathe.

I don't know how to pronounce it, but this place rocks!

The atmosphere it pretty cool, with orange lights, mirrors, plants, reggae music in the background, etc.

I had the mussles, buffalo wings, blueberry sorbet, and key lime pie....each one made me question my existence and think about becoming a professional eater. They obviously put a lot of time and effort into their food.

Yes, it's a bit pricey, but c'mon....you're on vacation. Live a little. You will not be disappointed.

Lastly, if you don't try the martinis, you're not trying hard enough. I had the "Pear-fect Storm" and needless to say, it was pretty peary.

The best part about this place is it's located in the basement of Thayers Inn, Littleton's coolest hotel. I believe it used to act as an ox room, a place where the animals would be prepared for....whatever people used animals for in the 1800's ;)

You don't want to miss this one.

    One word.

    WOW.

So I think I cheated on my boyfriend with the food at this restaurant... it was just that GOOD. We had the muscles + I'm pretty sure I died and went to heaven in that bowl. My boyfriend got the wings + he said his lips were tingling with joy! The Key Lime pie was EPICLY EPIC + the blueberry sorbet was outrageously delicious.

The staff was pretty friendly and we sat both at the bar + outside on their mini porch/patio.  At the bar you get a nice lil sac o peanuts + outside you get to sit in with the stars + plants. The music at this restaurant was eclectic + surprising for such a small lil town. The decor is adorable + warm + we loved going DOWN the stairs to get inside--felt like a yummie little cave of delight.

If you want a party in your mouth, this is your kinda place

A great meal for any city, and a huge pleasant surprise for a small town.

We initially weren't that hungry, so we decided to share an app and an entree. We had the baked goat cheese app and it was incredible. Not just because, c'mon, breaded warm goat cheese, but because it was actually good cheese. It came out with crostini, but the cheese was too good to use as a topping and the bread was too good to use as a base, so we ate them separately.

For the entree, we had the sesame encrusted seared tuna. I was expecting my sushi craving to last for our entire trip to NH/ME, but this hit the spot. Be warned, if you don't like wasabi, tell them ahead of time.

Meanwhile, the waitress was beyond nice, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the prices were completely reasonable. We'll be back next time we're in Littleton!

The 4 stars just for the Center Harbor Mussels appetizer. Yes, I have to go to their website to pull up the name of that appetizer. Dont go for the mussels on the specials list. This is the one on the regular menu. The broth, OMG. Dip the bread in the broth and take a bite while the juincess from the soft succulent fresh mussel still lingers in your mouth . This is a must try for any mussels fan!!!
The rest of the items are good what you will find in a good restaurant. The portions are pretty big for a fine dining restaurant. The service is attentive, though the waitress did not have much knowledge of the wine list. All in all, was a good dining experience.

If it weren't for the carrot-ginger soup and the perfect gin martini, this place would have been a total disappointment.

They've got an extensive drink menu, but the second I spied that their "mojito" was made with peppermint schnapps, I knew they were a wanna-be hip restaurant, and not an actual hip place.    On the plus side, they had delicious hand-stuffed olives- blue cheese, jalapeno, garlic, etc.  And they did whip up a perfect dirty gin martini which was cheaper than I expected at only $8.00

We ordered a bunch of appetizers:   deep-fried butternut squash ravioli, the duck dumplings, the arugula strawberry salad, and the carrot-ginger bisque.  All but the soup were a total rip-off:

-The ravioli was only 3 ravioli, breaded and then deep-fried.  They were tasty, but no where near tasty enough to justify the $10 price tag.  That essentially made them $3.30 per ravioli.

-The duck dumplings were also good, but totally generic tasting.  Not good enough to justify the $10 price tag.  Again, $2.50 per dumpling for something I can get way cheaper at a chinese take-out joint?  No way.

-The salad appeared large (a towering plateful of arugula) until we realized that it had literally 2 strawberries on it.   And a sprinkling of cheese and a handful of pickled red onions.

-The bisque was amazing.  And at only $4, i thought it was insane.  they should have charged twice as much for the soup, and cut back the prices of the other overpriced apps.

The place seemed cozy and warm, but after being seated we realized the decor was a bit lame.   I know it's the country, and they may not know better.  But please, cut back on some of the lame, barely-living plants.  They don't really work in the space.

    The service was very good.

This place needs serious work.  Great service, tasty food, confused decor.  They need to get their pricing in perspective.  It's all out of whack.

I don't understand what the hype is about this place.  I guess Bailiwicks looks sort of like a trendy bar/lounge with decent pop music, and perhaps if I had stuck with chicken wings and fries I would have done alright.  But fabulous dining experience this is not; it is not even the best fine dining in Littleton (Beal House Inn gets my vote for that one).  At the end of the day, $102 for two people can't be supported by decorations and pop music, but by food and service, and this place didn't stand out on either.

The first item that they need to take care of is service, and to do that they need to hire more more waitresses.  I was surprised that every time I tried to get a reservation I had to wait until 8:30, but now I understand why.  People were idly waiting for their food, their water glasses empty, their menus still on the table, because two waitresses had their hands tied trying to service what looked like more than 50 people.  The two old guys/bouncers up front (I guess the owners?) didn't pay attention to what was going on around the restaurant and their smugness wore me out as I got hungrier.

The waitresses themselves also need to be more efficient.  Our waitress was way too chatty while also not paying attention to what we were saying.  I can understand her being busy but 10 minutes of useless small talk when I had already been waiting 20 minutes to order doesn't make things better.  I also didn't need to hear a patronizing remark that "wow you know how to eat edamame.  Not everyone eats it because they don't know how to."  Ugh.  5% tip for you.

Bailiwicks needs to improve its lighting.  Either make it romantically dark or bring it up so I can read the menu.  The parking lot level of lighting at Walmart doesn't work here.

The food itself was on par with Applebees, which is not to say that Applebees is bad but that $102 should be able to buy better food.  One good thing is the decent diversity of wine.  It's fairly rare that I'm able to fine a riesling from Dr. Franks, a shiraz from Layer Cake (both reliable standbys), and a smooth 18-year aged single malt on one menu.  The mussels were cooked well with butter/olive oil and some herbs and garlic.  Pureed beet soup tasted like tomato soup with cheese on top.  The steak, even though ordered medium well, was tough and chewy (it was while I was eating the steak that I thought of Applebees).  The same goes for the seared tuna, which also was not fresh.

My wife and I were touring New England for our anniversary and I was looking for a great dinner for our anniversary night.  We contacted the folks at  the great B&B we were staying at (Sugar Hill Inn, their wonderful kitchen is closed on Tuesday nights) and they pointed us to Bailiwick's Fine Restaurant.

    A few things about Bailiwick's...
    1.  It is packed.... and they take reservations at the bar.... don't expect to get their early and have a relaxing drink in the bar.
    2.  It is hidden around the corner from the Thayer Inn.... there is a side entrance to the restaurant.

And now on to the food... it was spectacular.  I had their signature Hot in the City (smoky spice rubbed steak) and it was to die for.  There was great flavor and heat, but the heat wasn't overpowering... it was a blissful meal.  As I think about it, I was so engrossed in my meal that I can't even remember what my wife had.  I do know that we split the kahlua-chocolate mousse cake and it was also tremendous.

I highly recommend Bailiwick's and would go far out of my way to eat there again.

    DEEP BREATH

I can't BELIEVE I'm getting to first review and even ADD this listing to Yelp, OK , OK, maybe I'm going to get tarred and feathered up here for letting the secret out, maybe I shouldn't be sharing hidden gems that the locals treasure, and even possibly, I will be ostracized and shunned for life, never to be taken again to secret powder stashes off the backside of Cannon by Bode.....( OK, never been taken there a first time by Bode, but you get my point)

BUT I CANT HELP IT...MUST YELP.. MUST YELP LOUDER THAN A  CHIHUAHUA BEING STEPPED ON BY RACHEL RAY, MUST YELP, YELP, YELP!!!!

Bailiwicks is by far the best thing to happen to Littleton NH since, well, anything, ( OK, Bishops Ice Cream, but that's another food group) and it's been open for over a year!!!!

Combining a stylish martini and wine bar with a solid, new-American / tricked-out comfort food menu they have liberated those in search of alternatives to the mediocre dinner options north of the Notch since the Grand Depot Cafe shut it's doors, sniff, now THAT was an enigma!

Bailiwicks is THE  scene on weekends, loud, abuzz with activity, mostly locals and a handful of lucky tourists compete for tables, (hard to get , harder if the Sox are on the flat screen over the bar)

The sesame-wasabi tuna is top notch, with a ever changing risotto as an accompaniment, and rivals anything you would find in Boston

More food details to follow after dinner there tonight

    STAY TUNED

    Going again tonight, will
