Stopped here for a quick lunch while passing through on I70. I thought the name sounded fun, and the sign was cute, so let's give it a go!
It was very meh..
If you're in the same boat as me and are passing through, I'd just keep going a few more miles. Everything here looked pretty plain and boring. You could make better lunch yourself at home.
Great place to stop if you're driving by and need food or ice cream! Chili was good, grilled cheese was pretty good (I'm more of a cheddar person than an American cheese person though). They had pumpkin ice cream so I asked for a pumpkin milkshake, and yum!! Onion rings were good, I personally love being able to actually taste the onion. The boyfriend got a chili cheese dog and looked pretty content (after he stopped attempting to eat it with his hands).
It's not gourmet, but the prices are pretty darn low and they're nice people.
Worst meal I've ever had....It's just a small place with only a few menu items and a bunch of icecream flavors, but no soft serve. I got fried shrimp with fries and you would think you can't really mess that up, but apparently you can... the breading was real thick, hard, and disgusting, I couldn't even eat them..... The fries were gross and kind of soggy..... And even the ice cream was somehow almost flavorless. The milkshake was also just basically melted icecream, with no milk. And although the waitresses weren't rude or anything, they weren't the friendliest either. Don't waste your time going here. But this place is in the middle of nowhere anyway.
Review Source:Best place to eat in New Concord. Â Ice Cream- Delicious. Â Grilled Cheese is my favorite thing...and you might think how can you go wrong with grilled cheese, but people do. Â And these folks get it right. Â :) Â Juke Box- Fantastic selection. Â Decor- Old School New Concord history. Â The owner/ workers are all extremely friendly and make eating there feel like home.
