I don't eat meat, but back when I did, I loved the chicken and standard ribs here. My favorite offering, however, is the cole slaw (mayo-based). I have eaten slaw at so many different restaurants and Bar H is by far the best I have ever eaten. In Georgia or any other state.
It's a simple place with a spartan menu. You can expect to order pork barbecue (comes without sauce on it -- so you can apply mild or hot sauce at the table), half chicken, ribs, and baby back ribs.
Sides for most plates include Brunswick stew (and they give you free refills!) and the perfect cole slaw. Chips and sunbeam loaf bread are also customary.
It's a seat yourself kind of joint, and food comes out quickly. There's also a super fast drive-thru. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am-9pm (or whenever they sell out).
It's family-owned and operated. A favorite of my whole family, and a must whenever we come into town.
