Barleycorn's Downtown Bar & Deli

We stopped in Wamego on the way to the Manhattan airport. Our main reason for stopping was to visit the Oz Winery. We parked in front of Barleycorn's on main street, which is directly across from the winery.

We ate during lunch, and found the area well lit and clean. There are several HDTVs with the Kansas City Cheifs game. They had a good selection of draft beers. We had the reuben with salt and vinegar chips, which was the sandwhich of the day. (No fries since they don't have a fryer.)

Sandwich was excellent and I enjoyed the Michelob Amber ale. There was only the bartender taking orders and serving food, but there wasn't a big crowd and she was able to come in a timely manner. I would definitely come again to watch a game and relax if I'm ever in Wamego again!

Great sandwiches! The philly cheesesteak is the best around!

Fantastic!!!  Highly recommend for fabulous sandwiches (lots of choices), awesome potato salad, and great drinks!  We have never been disappointed!
