Bathtub Gin

This place is a gem--guess I'll call it a "hidden gem", though it's pretty easy to find in the town of Mooresville. The town itself, though quaint, really has a nice feel to it, and seems like it could have a lot of potential for having a solid social scene.

Went to this bar on a Saturday night after Christmas. I guess some people are still staying in for the holidays, but I have to be  honest: the clientele was lacking a bit. I can't fault the bar for this though, because that seemed to be the theme of the town. Place was nearly empty.

The bar itself had great beer specials. Goose island IPA in draft for three dollars a pint, and Shock Top for two!? Yeah, I'll take that.

Live music. I'm told that's the case almost every night. The place has awesome sound, with these old wooden floors that are really conducive to the acoustics of the space. The band on this night was called 'Analog Daze', and wow, those guys were awesome. Played their own stuff as well as some covers. Awesome rendition of Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child.'

Great night out at Bathtub Gin. Looking forward to my next visit.
