Four of us were on a motorcycle trip through south Texas. Â I found Baytown on the GPS under seafood restaurants, but wasn't sure if it may be a seafood market. Â I passed it and saw all of the cars and trucks there about 1 PM: good sign. Â So, turned the convoy around and ate there. Â It was very, very good. Â I had the absolute best seafood poorboy sandwich ever. Â The bread was light and thin, but not too thin. Â My gripe on poorboys is too much bread. Â I also had seafood gumbo-outstanding! Â My ride buddies had some other dishes. Â Everyone was happy with their choices.
The young lady waiting on our table was very efficient and friendly.
This place isn't fancy, but clean and well cared for. Â I'd highly recommend it when passing through Palacios. Â It is right on Highway 35 just east of the airport.
Eaten here twice and the seafood is second to none. Â I don't eat seafood, but my fiancee does, and she ordered scallops and shrimp. Â Said her food was extremely tasty and well cooked, meaning it has great consistency.
My chicken fried steak was tender, fresh, and tasty. Â Plus, the white gravy it was served with was outstanding...thick and flavorful. Â Fries were excellent, and the spices they used on it were tremendous. Â
Attentive wait staff, and they take care of you. Â Great restaurant in this small town on the Texas coast.
