Beaver Inn

Went here to celebrate my husband's birthday a few days ago. Best dive bar ever, very affordable drinks, and the greasy bar food is great. The hot wings were a big hit with our group. The juke box selection is woeful, but we made up for it with a few rounds of pool. Bartender was nice, didn't charge me for my sodas since I was the designated driver.

Bartender Don is the best in town. He has the best sneer, the best stare, the best smirk, and the best pour. He's the major reason I go here. It also never hurts that it's always a good mix of a crowd of alumni, locals, college students, the occasional professor, etc. etc. Free popcorn is a bonus and the fried food...perfect with that cold Rainier beer. Thank you Don. As Jerry McGuire said..."You Complete Me".

Any place that is immortalized in a Death Cab For Cutie song is a winner.  Boycott the B'ham mall. What is Mervyn's. Sounds like Merv Griffin to me.  Patronize all the great places of downtown Bellingham.  It's the dawning of the awning in Bellingham.
