Beaver Lodge Bar & Grill

We stayed one night in the motel the night before embarking on a canoe trip down the Manitowish River.  We had to wait in the parking lot at 3:00 pm while the housekeepers, cigarettes in mouth, finished cleaning the rooms. The room was clean, fairly quiet, and reeked of some sort of lysol type air freshener, pee-yoo!.

The lodge is touted as being on the ATV trail.  Boy they aren't kidding, it literally runs through the parking area right out the room windows. So if Northwoods solitude is what you're after, this isn't the place. But if I were into four wheeling and other noise sports this would be at the top of my list.

On the postive, the owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. The rates are reasonable if not cheap, The food is very good tavern fair.
