Stopped into this hidden treasure on a weekend trip to Danville. Tucked away with little signage, I was overly surprised at how much I loved this place! The staff are very inviting and love to converse with the customers. The beers are unique and local to KY. My favorite part was being able to taste/sample the beers for $1.50. Not being too smart on beer flavors, the tasting option allowed me to get a new appreciation of beers!
Definitely a small place and draws a more hipster/artsy crowd. Great for adults who want to grab a drink in a nice, quiet environment.
Will definitely go back!
Great, friendly nano-brewery with 4 house-made brews and another 8 well-chosen microbrews from other makers. Â We are giant Dogfish fans so I was thrilled to see their Sah'tea and Festina Peche on the menu--still, I was very happy drinking Beer Engine's Bone Dry Stout. Â That particular beer is very tasty, probably more porter-esque than stouty, but entirely worth ordering. Â No food served, which is a shame, particularly on a Sunday when there is almost nothing open in Danville. Â We got takeout from Mallard's and ate it at Beer Engine! Â I'm happier to give my beer dollar to these guys.
Review Source:What's not to love about this place! Â It is a small, intimate location that is family owned. Â There are 12+ beers on tap which are constantly rotating. Â The top 3 are home-brews! Â The owner has found a delicious consistency in these three beers and they work well. Â
My suggestions: Â Make sure the try the Nut Brown, its great. Â Also, order samples. Â You can get 4 samples on a slate and they're about 3 oz. each ranging from $1-$3 each. Â
Love it!
A really nice place to get good beer. Â They regularly have about 12 craft brews on tap. Â The best part is the samplers. Â Get a few ounces of any beer you want for something like $2 each. Â I like to get several of these so I can try a little bit of everything. Â They don't serve food, but 303 will deliver burgers here if you're hungry.
Review Source:This has quickly become one of my favorite places in town! There is always a familiar face and the service is great. It's like going to a friend's house to watch the game and have a beer. I don't know much about beer, but I know that Brian is super elitist about it...and everyone says that his in-house brews are excellent, and i tend to trust them. You have got to check this place out!
