Went here to watch a Thunder game. Nobody greeted us when we walked in even though several waitresses walked past us. You had to seat yourself but there were barely any tables left. We found one booth that still had dirty dishes on it. We had to flag down a waitress to clean it off. It took about 15 mins before that was done. It was crowded and hard to find a table, we saw several groups walk out because there was no seating left.
The restaurant was a decent size with several TVs around. Most of the TVs were pretty small but there were two bigger ones on either side of the restaurant (not flat screens though) and the sound system could use an update.
There were peanut shells all over the floor but we never got any peanuts. The floor was sticky and dirty including the table and menus. I got a grilled onion burger and onion rings and I've gotta say the food was pretty good. The prices on alcohol was decent. On nights where there is a televised Thunder game, drafts are $1!
If you're in Weatherford and want
1) a place with a couple TVs
2) a beer
3) food
... then Benchwarmer Browns may be what you're looking for.
Granted, the TVs might be on an infomercial and there will be music playing, but you might be able to distract the college girls working the place if they'll change the channel to a ballgame. The beer will be Bud or Coors products of that lovely Oklahoma 3.2% ABV variety. There is no liquor or wine. The food will be edible but not exceptional. Basic sports bar fare.
The decor is whatever the different owners through the years have pulled out of flea markets, rummage sales, and inherited from their spinster aunts with some sports banners from Big 12 universities.
Service ranges from bad to decent, never good or excellent. Every visit seems to have a new group of fresh faces. Whether the old help graduates or just get tired of the place is hard to say.
