For a small (very small) Nebraska town, this place is pretty amazing. For starters, it's huge, with a sit-down, family-friendly side and a bar and grill type atmosphere on the other. It's clean and spacious all around.
The service was fast and exceedingly friendly, and the menu is full of surprisingly diverse options. They have seafood linguine, for example, and it's actually really good.
On a recent visit I had the queen cut of prime rib with sides of cottage cut sweet potato fries and the salad bar. The salad bar was not bad, but not inspiring either, with slightly brown iceberg lettuce and a mish-mash of traditional salad fare. The sweet potato fries, though, were the best I've ever had and came with a wonderful sweet and spicy mayo dipping sauce.
The smoked prime rib was very rare, just how I like it, but the smoky flavor wasn't very strong. The portion was about right for a queen cut.
My girlfriend ordered the reuben and fries and was very happy. The corned beef was top-notch, with thick slabs and lots of cheese and dressing. Her crinkle cut fries were very crisp and tasty.
Good stuff, and not a bad drive from Lincoln. We'll definitely go back.
