Better Burger

No whiners allowed.  Good things to those who wait. Neither Hardees nor McDonald's nor Bojangles could take business away from this place. If you are in a hurry call ahead. Otherwise place your order, check out the trophies or the want ads and wait for your number to be called.

In all seriousness everything here is better all the way which is with coleslaw and chilli. The Giant double bacon cheeseburger and hot dogs are my favorites along with the breakfast biscuits.   The tenderloin is actual pork tenderloin, not the fried hockey puck most places use. The barbecue and other platters are so much better than you'll find anywhere else.  Onion rings are better than the fries though.  Finish up with an ice cream cone and you're good to go.

It used to be a drive-in, car-hop type joint that was enclosed to add a dining room with booths and tables.  They still have the two open windows over a stainless-steel counter, just like American Graffiti.

In a hurry? Go elsewhere! Ride up in a Harley and get 10% off. Really? Stopped there yesterday while travelling. Hoped to get something other than Mickey D's. Went inside and had one customer ahead of me. The "cashier" was in no hurry to get to me. She was just chatting away to a family that looked like they just came off the set of Amish Mafia. Anyway, as the "cashier" stood there slapping her jaws and scratching her head, I decided that maybe Mickey D's might be a better choice. So many times you hear that one should support ma and pa businesses. I agree, but Ma and Pa, get your act together and train your workers.
