Big D's Bar-B-Q

Man, I love a place like this.

What a cool place.  Pocahontas is a small spot on Hwy 49, just south of the booming metropolis of Flora, home of the Petrified Forest.

I usually hit Blue Rooster when I am in western Madison County around lunchtime but this day had me in Pocahontas dropping off deer at the processor next door.

Big D's is in an old country store that has been nicely converted to a restaurant.  

Burgers, plate lunches and beautiful pies and ice cream.

This place is rock solid and worth the road trip.

Swung by the teepee and got som sweet tea and a bbq sandwich watch out McCalisters the teepee is bringin some seriously good tea. The atmoshere was quite awesome too.

I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Not only was the food very good, the atmosphere was awesome!!
