Big Jakes BBQ

Place is clean and neat. Service was excellent and all were very friendly. Had the Tuesday special Loaded Baked potatoe with choice of BBQ meat (Chicken) pinto beans onions and peppers. All were very good, the fried pies are awesome. I had the apple today, I am sure I will be back to try something else

I couldn't find a lot online telling me what Ashdown had to offer.  I left my hotel (Economy Inn) and just walked around, looking for something to eat.  Most of downtown was closed around 6pm, so it took a bit!  I came upon Big Jakes BBQ and was intrigued!

You stand in line to order kind of like a fast food joint, but you sit down and they bring your order to you when it's finished.  I selected a brisket meal.  It was all delicious, but the brisket was the least delicious part of it.  It was a little dry.  The fries and macaroni were divine!!  The service was good and the environment was neat.  If you find yourself in this odd town, I recommended it!

The parking was a little odd...a creepy dirt parking lot that was dark, and had a train track running through it.
