I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the Big Trout. Like a lot of places you see in the villages around here it looks like it was an old house converted into a restaurant from the outside. Once inside I was impressed at how clean and new the restaurant side looked. They had a big screen TV with a movie playing and there were only a hand full of people hanging around the bar. Service was a little on the slow side, but I was in no hurry so I just watched some TV. When dinner arrived it was a pretty good burger, but the bun tasted like it came out of a bag from a dollar store. Also for some reason the waiter was kind of odd. I usually chat and generally get along with any workers but he was off somehow. There is a line between plastic friendly, actually friendly, and cold when it comes to service. He was on the border line of friendly and cold. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience but it wasn't anything to write home about. I would probably stop here again.
