We got there late on a Saturday night, near 10, and oddly had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Turned out they weren't seating anyone in half the restaurant because they turn it into a nightclub later on. Whoopee. So we got to sit next to the dance floor (I guess) as they made a racket folding up tables and chairs.
It was late so we just ordered soup and salad. Took 30 minutes to receive this simple meal. My husband made a special request for a particular salad and soup combo, and was told it would be an extra 75 cents for the "expensive" strawberries in the salad. It arrived... with HALF a strawberry sliced and arranged around the edge of the plate. It also cost an extra $1.00 for chili rather than soup. The chili arrived lukewarm, apparently b/c they decided at 10 pm to just take the chili off the heater, which, by the way, is illegal according to sanitation laws. My husband doesn't put up with this cr*p and sent both items back - the salad permanently and the chili to be replaced.
My chicken dumpling soup was okay and the standard salad pretty standard with iceberg lettuce and a few toppings. Nothing to write home about. Oh, we also had the pickle chips - do NOT order unless you want a week's worth of salt intake in a few bites.
Our server was awesome and handled all the issues with grace and good humor. But we wouldn't go back again. (Of course, I wouldn't stay in Gatlinburg ever again, it's such a tourist pit, I suggest avoiding it if possible, which is difficult, it's so convenient to the park.)
After sampling moon shine my brother ended up here. Our hostess greeted us and was very friendly. We took the stairs to the second floor and sat outside. Â I enjoyed the view of downtown Gatlinburg. Our waitress was a sweetheart. The food took awhile to come out. Â A few times different waiters came by to drop off plates that were not our orders. Once we got our food we were starving. The spicy quesadilla were really good. My brother loved his chicken wings. Even though we waited awhile for our food we enjoyed our selves here.
Review Source:Great food! Â Really nice place. Â We had a great dinner. Â The fried pickles are awesome!!! Â Everyone's food arrived perfectly cooked. Â I ordered the Mt Leconte Burger. Â BTW, it's a big burger so only order it if you're sharing or really hungry. Â My wife ordered the french dip and she reported it was excellent. Â Everyone else reported their selections were great. Â
The atmosphere is kinda like a personalized version of a sportsbar / applebees. Â The place was comfortable and clean. Â A warning...there are stairs in this restaurant. Â But if you've been to Gatliburg you know that property is a premium so everyplace has stairs. Â But there is an elevator for those who need one.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Â I've been to Gatlinburg 20 times or more and have never tried the place. Â I have to say I was missing out. Â We're glad we tried it and will stop by again when we're in town.
Dined here on a Saturday night. Came in and was told it would be a 15 minute wait for my party of 4...about 45 minutes later we were finally sat. The host was a very rude young man, who from the looks of it did not like his job very much. Waited about 5 minutes before a server even approached us. Food came out very quickly. I ordered the fried pickles and they were delicious! I would come back only for the fried pickles. I also had some chicken wings and they were average, not great, not bad.
Review Source:The food gets a 4...but the place itself is dragging this one down. Â Wasn't dirty...wasn't ugly...just laid out very strangely and not very welcoming. Â For a place touting 'Finally, some fun!'...I would say it's on the wrong side of 'Fun Mountain.'
OK - so the food. Â The chili was great, soup was great, sandwiches were great. Â If I could take the menu and transplant it to a different building...I would.
They DID have Blackstone beer on tap from Nashville...so I will give it a break on their alcohol selection.
Wasn't disappointed we ate here...just no reason to come back.
I really wish I could give this a better rating. Â The food was excellent (try the fried pickle chips!!) and I love the atmosphere, but the service was pretty apathetic. Â The waiter never checked on us or refilled the waters and he was un-engaging while we ordered. Â Moreover, we hadn't even had time to start into the appetizer when the entrees were brought out.
Review Source:By far our favorite place to eat. Although it requires climbing stairs to be seated, it's well worth it. We always sit on the patio since it offers a gorgeous view of Gatlinburg and the surrounding mountains and is a great place to sit and people watch.
The tables and bathrooms are always clean, no matter what time of day we eat here. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are up yet another floor, which can be difficult with kids.
The food is fantastic and reasonably priced for the large amount of food. The hot pretzels make for a good appetizer. Our kids love the chicken tenders. The country fried chicken sandwich and the french dip are highly recommended as well.
For as often as we go, we have never been disappointed.
I stopped in here one evening for a couple of beers. The place was crowed but not packed in though. The wife and sat at a little table in the back and enjoyed our drinks. I didn't look at a menu but saw some nice plates of food pass by, and it smelled yummy. I think the next time I'm there I'll have to try them out for lunch.
Review Source:After a long day of hiking we were looking forward to coming here for dinner for some nice juicy burgers! It was a sunday night, just after 8pm and the host told us that the just closed the kitchen b/c they were dead!! Now Gatlinburg is a very busy tourist town, even on a sunday. So how a restaurant can decide to just close early is beyond me. We left disappointed and hungry. Thankfully we found a great place down the road. (see smoky mountain restaurant and brewery)
Review Source:Decent food at a fair price. Fried pickles are a MUST. Chicken ranchero sandwich was a fresh take on a quick lunch. Beer selection looked extensive, though we didn't order any. Looked like a respectable bar. Service was attentive, and sweet tea hit the spot. Might return in the future for a trip to the bar (both upstairs and down).
Review Source:This is a cool sports bar and grill. Â Evidently "World Famous" but never found out what for.
The restaurant offers  "New Orleans approach" with it's three story, balcony seating options. Inside there are a couple bars with TV's to watch the game / race.
The food was great. We both ordered burgers and pasta salad, which were perfectly cooked to order! The pasta salad was three flavored pasta salad, peas, brocolli flourettes doused in italian dressed and sprinkled with shredded parmasean.
The service was good. She kept our drinks full and was ready with our check.
Sitting on the balcony was fun while people watching all the tourists below. The restaurant as well as their bathrooms were clean.
Friday and Saturday nights after 10, they are a 21 & up club for dancing and drinking with a $3 cover charge.
I'd definitely go back again!
Probably not good for wheelchairs due to tight quarters and not sure of 1st floor seating.
Surprisingly fresh and tasty. Amazing fajitas. Great lunch service. Reasonably priced.
Went back the next day for dinner with the family, the fajitas were still great, albeit for a group so large (24 people) the food quality definitely dropped a bit. Had some classic quesidillas and they were pretty spicy (and I love heat). Overall most everyone enjoyed their food. It wasn't top notch, but for the price, and the type of food you are expecting, definitely a great value, and great place.
