Country decor, homey atmosphere, fantastic salad bar, good food.

Good salad bar. If you order the ribeye...order about 60% more meat than you really want to eat.  I ordered the 12oz and only got about 4 or 5 ounces of edible meat after cutting away the fat and gristle.  Ad bring a microwave to finish cooking your baked potato!

In my annual journey to the Michigan UP, I found this place at the recommendation of a farmstand vendor down the road on 141. Bob & Laura's is a small but comfy dining place. We came on a Friday at dinnertime, when the lot was packed full with cars. People seeking a good fish fry come to Bob & Laura's. Service was good and so was the food. We took a chance on "fried macaroni & cheese." Much to our surprise it looked like tater-tot sized nuggets. Then one bite and we were hooked on the breaded and deep-fried pasta and cheese. I could almost feel my major arteries slowly sealing shut but I survived the ordeal and have to admit I liked it. In this part of Wisconsin, there really are not many nice dining places to choose from, but this is a good one. The decor and ambience gives you that down-home feeling that the locals enjoy when they dine here.
