There are four good things here and more than four BAD THINGS. Â Beer, Pizza, BBQ, and fried cheese curds. Â We went for lunch the other day after a harrowing canoe trip. Â I had the BBQ chicken sandwich special and the wife had Steak Wrap. Â
I've had ribs from  Boulder before and they were pretty good but this experience is a major let down
Chicken Sandwich in white sauce was left a little dry an average sandwich for $8.95. Â The Steak Wrap was terrible. Â It claimed to be steak marinated in Tequila Lime. Â No way was it!!!! Â Wasn't even cut up to fit properly in the wrap and it included huge chunks of FAT and GRIZZLE. Â Told our waitress, who told the owner. Â Response was "It's Ribeye it's supossed to have some fat". Â Not in a wrap buddy!
Okay besides for the fact that the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT!!!!! Â It wasn't like we were trying to scam them as we purchased "to go" food and spent $50.00 on lunch!!!! Â The meat was nasty and inedible at times and was worthy of a complaint. Â Too bad the owner couldn't throw a free beer out to save these future customers. We won't be going back. Â I feel there are better value options in the Northwoods.
.
Granary, PI Pub, Gooch's, will be on the list for lunch next time.
Was vacationing in lake tomahawk amd went For a drive to go shopping and antiquing. Â We ended up in boulder junction and were hungry so stopped here. Â Simple bar and grill decorated in knotty pine. We sat outside on the large picnic tables because while no crowded, it was loud inside with conversation. Â We both ate sandwiches and fries and were quite pleased with our selections. Â The waitress was attentive.
Review Source:Above average bar food, with friendly and efficient staff. Â Several TVs in the area, but they really should replace the old standard-definition projection TV in the dining room.
They used to be the only place in the area that served Goose Island Honkers Ale, but not anymore :(. Â They need a good pale ale on their menu. Â Good for groups.
The owner/chef is a graduate of CIA I believe.
Great spot for lunch or dinner in Boulder Junction. Â Since it is in the main touristy area of BJ, you might fight some crowds on the weekends at peak times but the staff is prompt and friendly and the food is good. Â Standard bar fare but kid friendly and not too expensive even for a touristy spot.
