When I was in elementary school, I was in the CLUE program for so-called advanced student. For an assignment, we were asked to pick a place and form a tourist logo for it using the first letter of the town and the first letter of the state it is in. I came up with two, Predominately Arid for Phoenix, Arizona and Milking Territory for Moscow, TN. Which slogan did I go with...
As a kid, my dad used to drive me through Moscow all the time, and I clearly remembered a dairy farm on all those trips. So it was great to drive through Moscow again recently to visit Brad's BBQ.
Brad's BBQ has been around for over 35 years, and now is a chain with locations in Moscow, Oakland, and Bartlett.
On this visit, I tried the regular BBQ sandwich with slaw. The meat in the sandwich has a crunchy, almost bacon-like, texture. They prepare the bun properly and the slaw is okay. Overall, an okay sandwich.
... So I told my CLUE teacher that I liked the Milking Territory slogan better than the Predominately Arid slogan. Besides, I had been to Moscow several times and loved it. Nevertheless, these slogans we were making were going to be posted outside the classroom door for all to see, and passerbys would probably be more impressed with Predominately Arid. My CLUE teacher, who shall remain nameless, lobbied hard that I go with "Phoenix, Arizona: Predominately Arid". I caved in and regret it to this day. Here's hopin' this review makes up for that :)
