Wish there was a 2.5 selection. It is just okay. Not memorable at all. I have eaten here 3 times and I can't even remember what I had if that tells you anything. And my whole life revolves around food. It has to be pretty lackluster for me to not even recall what I had.
But I have to say that the "banana pudding" (banana whipped cream) is the worst banana pudding I have ever had. It is literally whipped cream mixed with bananas and a few hard cookies. It reminds me of what some BBQ place in the north would make and call it "southern style". Um....no.  I ordered a pint  of it and when she handed me the bag I thought I had the wrong order since the bag felt empty. But that was because whipped cream weighs about as much as air. All I can say is that mess ain't no nanner puddin'. It is like blasphemy to even call it banana pudding.
I have dined here several times in the past with my entire family and the food has always been reasonably good but not remarkable. The last time the ribs were terrible and when I advised the manager I was told they had "gotten some bad ribs lately" and amazingly, no offer was made to bring out another rack. I mentioned it again when paying the tab (being most polite about it I might add) and they proceeded to charge me full price. No more visits since then and likely never again, although I do love their sauce.
Review Source:Brad's is good, solid Memphis style barbecue, but I wouldn't put it on my top 5 list of favorites.
The food is okay, and they give you generous portions, so it's a good value in my opinion. The pork sandwich is decent and comes with slaw that has a nice flavor to it. The sauce is perhaps what I find a little lacking here. I have to kick it up a bit with a splash or two of hot Tabasco before it's spicy enough for me.
On an up note though, the servers are really nice and generally try to make your dining experience a good one. And it's a family friendly kind of place, so an excellent choice for eating out with kids.
