The outside was not overly impressive, but once we got inside & scoped out the menu we got good vibes.  The people are helpful & willing to describe menu items , make suggestions etc.  Menu had some different options & the lots of home made items.  Will reccomend the potato soup for sure.  Very tasty all in all.  Real brewed tea.  Reasonable prices .  Got to make the trip back   : )
Review Source:If you dropped this place in the middle of Cincinnati or any other city, it would be one of the most popular breakfast places there. The food is great, the prices are outstanding and the service is friendly. We make sure to visit here every morning that we spend at my wife's parents' house.
I have been three times and have tried much of their small menu. Their eggs are always well-cooked to order. Their home fries (with corn) are some of the best I've ever had. As far as breakfast meat, I recommend the kielbasa. The bread is outstanding (yes, really).
If you find yourself in the Lancaster area, visiting this place is a must. It might even be worth a trip from Columbus.
Fresh food cheap....sign me up! The Bremen Cafe might look more like a place found in the college town of Athens than in Bremen, Ohio...but I think this is just the spot to provide this town with a little color. Walking in this space it is bright and full of life, there is a counter (from the space's previous life as a pizza shop) and a few tables...turn to the left and there are ample booths available. On this side, through memorabilia, you can definitely connect to the owner's previous life as proprietor of Victoria's Midnight Cafe in the Victorian Village neighborhood of Columbus. And where else can you find a portrait of Ginsburg in Bremen.
Now onto the good stuff...the food. It is delicious and with three of us ordering breakfast and green tea...the bill came to $17. Not bad at all considering the huge plates of food. I ordered an early morning breakfast with two fried eggs, kielbasa, home fries with corn and rye toast...I always appreciate a good rye bread and everything was quickly made with quality ingredients. The corn included with the home fries provides excellent flavor contrast, especially when a dash of Tabasco is added. The service was kind and extremely attentive and the owner/cook come over to make sure that everything was done well.
I hope this place makes it. Locals are lucky to have it and I think it would make an excellent stop for anyone from Columbus looking for a nice little road trip...and on weekends...they have Donut World donuts...that's hard to beat. I know I will be making this a regular stop on my visits to my parents house and can't wait to introduce my husband to this great find.
