This restaurant brags about using fresh, whole ingredients in their products. So when I walk into a place that claims this and has this kind of reviews, I really expect a fresh and delicious product. That isn't what I got.
I do not consider it using fresh ingredients to use frozen french fries and frozen onion rings. I also do not consider it using high quality, fresh ingredients to use Cool Whip as their base in their peanut butter pie. Last time I checked hydrogenated oils (can you say trans fats?) and high fructose corn syrup along with a bunch of chemicals do not equal fresh. It really doesn't take that much time or even that much more money to just whip up some fresh cream and sugar instead. Or for that matter, to cut your own fries or onion rings. My burger was filled with sinew, that tough white stuff you find in cheap beef. I don't eat at places like McDonald's because I want high quality food, but I might as well have done so. At least it would have cost half the price.
I have to agree with you Dennis S.. It makes me wonder what has happened to the American palate...
