Brick House is a cute and cozy cafe in the heart of tiny Cable, WI - we stopped for lunch. The menu is small, but quality - I would rather have a place do 10 things well  vs. 20 things poorly.
Soup was clearly homemade, with firm, fresh veggies and big pieces of chicken. I wish they served it with a chunk of bread but that's a nitpick. My mom had a half sandwich (love that option, BTW) which came with a monster side if homemade potato salad. Her plate was a ton of food and about $4!
It definitely feels like a family place - out meals were served by a 10 year old. Someone's dog wandered in at one point and had to be shooed back out. I love it.
My girlfriend and I were in town for a wedding from New York. Â We were so lucky to have found this gem next to a national forest. Â This place is everything everywhere should have. Â They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Â We were there for lattes in the morning and paste for dinner. Â In the morning they are a coffee shop; at dinner time they serve me like a restaurant. Â At guess what, they even have an ice-cream place in side, and they even serve beer!! Â If you are in the area, you need to check it out.
Review Source:This place is so cute! A red house with a huge front porch.
Started with the Lotus Root Salad. I have never had lotus before - it was amazing. Wild mushroom ravioli was so rich and delicious and I HAD to have the Key Lime Pie. Mmmm.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It feels like family. Can't wait to go back!
