YUM!!! Â I tried the Rodeo pizza (without the black olives) and was so pleasantly surprised!! Â My husband went with a beef, mushrooms and garlic Calzone and LOVED it as well. Â Â We also each had one of their shakes (me - chocolate, him - butterscotch/chocolate) Â and again, very yummy. Â Â I highly recommend this place anytime you are through Deer Trail!!
Review Source:The Brick Oven bakes and serves fresh, piping hot pizza that you will thoroughly enjoy as long as your preference is NOT greasy, salty toppings, sauce or crust. Â We ordered both a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza and a hawaiian pizza and they were delicious! Â The toppings tasted very fresh - not at all "preserved" or picked out of a can. Â The owners were friendly and accommodating - it was a pleasure having lunch in their restaurant. Â The pride the owners have in their establishment is obvious and is reflected in the decor and their welcoming attitude towards their customers. The bathroom was very clean. Â Several locals came in to eat while we were there (always a good sign). Â Since our visit last month The Brick Oven has added a vintage shake machine to their kitchen and you can get regular updates via their FaceBook page. Â I sure hope this gem makes it in Deer Trail! Â I will say that they seemed a little out of place in a town that appears (from an outsider's perspective) to be on it's last leg. Â The owners are working real hard to make their business a success and I encourage you to seek out their establishment if you live in Deer Trail or one of the surrounding towns, or are just passing through, and give them your support. Â Sure wish they delivered to Colorado Springs! Â I'm craving a slice and a butterscotch shake now.... :)
