Okay, this review only applies to their burgers. I haven't ordered anything else and I can't imagine why u would. MASSIVE amount of food!!! Their burgers are well seasoned and dressed to impress. I can choose from several different buns, I recommend the honey wheat. I usually find wheat buns dry And not so tasty but these are sweet and yummy! I added grilled onions and jack cheese plus the usual accoutrements but they have a long list of goodies u can add to ur burger. Price is in the $9 range but I can put away some food and should have shared a burger with my sister. They have a salad bar with a decent selection of options and some premDe salads that u can add on to ur order instead of chips or fries. Pretty quick service but keep in mind it's a bar/pub so it has that atmosphere to it. Don't expect 5 star dining in gville tx. But for a cheeseburger, I can honestly say I have never had better
Review Source:I've only gotten to eat here twice, but I love it. Â I've had the chicken fry and a hamburger. The chicken fry was huge and tasted great. The fries were good. The next time, I got a cheeseburger with mushrooms on a jalapeno bun. Oh my word! I could only eat half of it, but it was wonderful. The bun was a little sweet and tasted home baked. The jalapeno gave it a subtle kick.
The atmosphere is average. Since I'm from Gainesville, I have seen old friends each time I've gone, so that's nice. It's kind of a combination of favorite local watering hole and rustic restaurant. The wait staff is  very friendly and everything is clean. I suspect that if you went once a week, they'd know your name and favorite drink pretty soon.
A Facebook friend highly recommended this place for their burgers. Â I checked out the Yelp reviews and decided to find out for my self. Â First of all, if I know it, I would never visit a place that allows smoking. Â One of the Yelp reviews said the place smelled like a mixture of "old grease and cigarette smoke", so I went in with trepidation. Â Got there right at 11 AM on a Saturday. Â Was promptly seated in the booth to the side of the check-out counter near the bay window by a very pleasant waitress who loves working there and in fact had been there for ten months while attending the local college. Â I came for the burger, but ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. Â If they got 'em, I "judge" a restaurant by their CFS. Â For Mexican food places, I "judge" them by their chili rellenos. Â My wife ordered a burger and fries. Â Regarding the "smoky atmosphere"... nope! Â I have a very sensitive smeller and could not detect grease or smoke. Â The CFS was very generous, the crust very crispy, the white gravy very smooth... overall it moved to near the top of my list for best CFS! Â I did get to try a bit of the burger and it was exceptional. Â We both liked the French fries. Â Yes, Brick Street Tavern gets my five stars. Â We look forward to dining there again.
