This is the fall-back place for us when Brew's is too crowded. The menu is on the small size, which I think is appropriate for pub-grub. I do like their fish-and-chips, meatloaf sandwich and burgers.

On busy nights (Fridays and Saturdays) it gets LOUD. Very loud.

But the main reason for 3 vs. 4 stars (in this pub-grub category) is because there is no (apparent) system among the servers for determining who's order is who's.

Sometimes this works to your advantage, other times it doesn't.

Let's say you are with two other people. Your table orders fish-n-chips, meatloaf and a burger. Then you notice another group come in and sit down say 20 minutes after you got there and ordered. Then you notice the server approach with fish-n-chips, meatloaf and some other dish and you think, "Oh cool, here's our food!" Then you are crushed when it is placed in front of the folks at that other table.

You think, "Hey, that's our food!" but there's nothing you can do about it. It happened to us yet again last night. I also saw three tables that were seated 30+minutes after we ordered get their food, finish their meals, paid, and then left.

Sure, one time, during lunch, we got the food meant for the table next to me... I heard the guy say as much. I felt a little guilty about it then but I was glad to have the food fast.

So keep an eye out if you dine here. And flip the coin because you'll either get served fast or watch as everyone else gets the order meant for you.

The best restaurant in downtown Granville. Unfortunately that is faint praise, but if we're walking downtown and want to have lunch or dinner the Broadway is absolutely my first choice. Decent pub food. Service is hit-or-miss, kind of casual/familiar which is fine when not busy but can lead to shenanigans when they are busy.

We love this place, and would be able to give it 5 stars, were it not for the fact that they have changed the size and quality of our favorite sandwich there, THE PUB CLUB!! The change in that sandwich, from a nice fat sandwich to a dry 3 pieces of toast, has kept us from making it a weekly dinner spot. DEAR BROADWAY PUB, PLEASE GO BACK TO YOUR BEEFED UP CLUB, WE DON'T LIKE A TRIPLE DRY TOAST SAMMIE! They used to be full of meat, cheese and bacon, now the toast edges meet all the way around, and the ham this week was a mere 1/16th of an inch. Really? Really. The beer selection rocks, and Happy Hour will keep us coming back, but not for food unless they fix that damned CLUB!!

It seems strange to write a review about the Pub because I consider myself a regular there. What can I really say about it? Obviously I think it's awesome or I wouldn't go there every week. But for anyone who isn't familiar with The Broadway Pub, I wholeheartedly recommend it as the best that Granville has to offer.

Aside from it being my local haunt while I lived in Granville after college, it was also my first job ever when I was sixteen, back when it was still The Broadway Deli. Back then they had the best sandwiches in town (Eileen's  homemade spicy chicken salad was the BOMB), and now that they've renovated to a full bar/restaurant, I still think they have the best food in town.

The Pub is my favorite local bar because of its small size and cozy atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly (especially Emily and Nat!), and there's always a wide variety of delicious seasonal bottled and draft beers. Personally, I like the Pub because it's usually quiet and is a good place to chill with a small group of people. Bonus: it's clean, and not nearly as divey as some of my other favorite bars, but still quaint and homey.

When it comes to food, I'm always at a loss over what to order any time I look at the menu, because EVERYTHING they have is delicious. Some of my personal favorites are the hot crab dip, the Pub mac and cheese (awesome with chicken or on its own, and more than enough for two people to share), the veggie hummus sandwich (with sweet potato fries or fresh homemade chips, both excellent), and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup is pretty spicy and combines perfectly with the focaccia grilled cheese to create one of my favorite meals of all time. I have never ordered anything at the Pub that I didn't like, but these are some of the best dishes I've had that I've gotten over and over.

My one qualm with the menu is that I wish they had boneless wings, but the bone-in wings are a pretty big hit with my friends, especially on ten cent wing night. I've heard that their sauces are spicier than a lot of places, but I've only had the barbecue sauce as a side with the chicken tenders, which are also delicious.

When it comes to spinach dip, I have to admit that Brews trumps the Pub in that category, but the dish the Pub has to offer is still pretty damn good. I recommend asking for the pita bread that is served with the crab dip rather than the tortilla chips that normally come with the spin-dip. A great appetizer if you don't feel like stuffing yourself with a large entree.

They've recently made some changes to the menu and brought back the locally famous spicy chicken salad. It's not as good as when Eileen used to back it back in the Deli days, but it's still one of my favorite sandwiches on the menu and is unique to this restaurant. I'm also a big fan of the variety of side dishes you can order with a burger or sandwich. I mentioned the sweet potato fries and homemade chips, two of my favorites, but I also really love the asparagus for a healthier option.

All in all, the Pub is amazing, and is by far my favorite bar and favorite restaurant in all of Licking County.

Dropped by here for lunch - I've never been to Granville before.  It's in a very cute downtown setting and we chose to sit outside.  Service was a little slow for them not being very busy, but luckily we weren't in a hurry.
I had the meatloaf sandwich, a friend had the bacon/avocado burger, the other had a bourbon chicken sandwich.  Good solid pub food, nothing phenomenal.  I'd come again if I don't find anything else I want to eat.

Two words: MEATLOAF SANDWICH. It sounds weird, but trust me, it is DELICIOUS. Also, the amaretto sours are delicious, and only $3.50! I continue to love going to the Broadway Pub. I don't mind the fact that it is small and usually crowded- I figure it adds to the "pub" ambiance :).
