Having just had BBQ at the supposed famous Shed Restaurant in Destin, Fl. I was eager to try something that wasn't drowning in BBQ sauce. I gave "The Shed" 3 stars. Now I can't in the world figure out why. The owner of "The Shed" needs to take a trip down here to figure out where he's going wrong.
BubbaQue's is set in a clean bidg, the staff is friendly, the sauces are even organized. Then comes the meat. It's not drowning in BBQ sauce that over powers the meats flavor, quite the contrary it is nearly just a touch, and they let you do the rest. The Brisket was perfectly cooked, no over cooking here.
From appearances this sleepily little town in Florida has the makings of a great BBQ restaurant, the Food Network should be ashamed to hype "The Shed" with out trying this little Florida chain restaurant.
If BubbaQue wasn't so far, I'd live here.
