We visited Perry, Iowa and stayed at the Hotel Pattee. Before taking in a picture show at the theater we stopped by Buen Gusto! What a treat this place was! The waitress was super friendly and the food was AMAZING! We plan to go back tomorrow! Great price and such wonderful food! Check it out - you won't be disappointed! It's fantastic!!
Review Source:I eat at this little El Salvadoran restaurant in Perry about once a week, and I definitely order pupusas (Thursday night = $1 pupusas!) Â In case you've never had them, pupusas are a traditional Salvadoran dish that is made with corn flour and stuffed with beans/chees/meat and fried, like a delicious Latin American hot pocket. Â The texture of these things is amazing, and I love the curtido (basically Salvadoran coleslaw) and sauce that goes with them. Â And they're super filling! Â I usually order the beans (refritos) because I prefer the flavor, and they're (probably joking myself here) lighter? Â Haha. Â The menu also features nice steak tacos, a seafood soup, and lots of other items. Â Definitely check it out!
