Another small town joint visited by, and reported on, by Bob Garner (man needs to get a real job) - another very, very good Cheeseburger - other food items tried, not so much. This is a small, worn diner across the street from Porky's BBQ, serving 3 meals a day, 6 days a week, which still has the feel, and smell, of a smoker's place, supported by regulars, and a few strays like me, in a small town shrinking, and hurting economically.
The Chopped Barbecue Sandwich ($3.49) is totally forgettable, it is Brookwood Farms barbecue, and tastes like the commercially prepared product it is. The Chili Dog ($1.79) is decent, but not world class. Â The FF are just bad, really bad.
The Cheeseburger on the other hand is very, very nice, not quite in the same class as Crossroad Grill across town, but still worth a try, and only $2.99, something of a value. It is flavorful, well cooked, and nicely sized. Not actually a destination burger, but close.
