Burger King

I was traveling back to Milwaukee and spent the night in Independence. Morning arrived and I found there aren't very many breakfast options in this small town. I badly needed some coffee and something not a donut. I ordered a small black coffee, Egg Croissan'wich and a Quaker Oatmeal, which is a new item and fitting considering the Quaker company is nearby.

TASTED: I'm a coffee geek but I don't really mind BK's coffee, it actually tastes better than Starbucks burnt blends. My Croissan'wich took me back to my college days of ordering off the "dolla" menu to help alleviate the symptoms of consuming cheap beer. The Oatmeal was smaller in quantity than Starbucks version and really really sugary.

POST: The service was fast and friendly. It's really too bad that Burger King chose to locate this store #9302 in the heart of the historic district. It's bordered by a historic mill and late 1800s home. They call this "progress" or economic development here?
