I went to Burge's this past Saturday. I was visiting my Uncle in Lewisville, AR. He brough us here because of their turkey sandwiches/po-boy's but I tried a double cheese burger that was AMAZING! I'm from California where we are use to eating In n' Out Burger which is delicious. I would in a heart beat eat Burge's over In n' out! The meat was thick and juicy the bread was delicious and the lettuce and tomatoe fresh!
If you are ever in Lewisville, AR do not deprive yourself. Do stop by Burges and have some of their food, my Dad had the turkey sandwich and he couldn't stop bragging about it. I am assuming everything they cook is great! Burge's gets a thumbs up from me!

When you're driving through Lewisville on your way to Memphis or camping up at Daisy State Park or back to Benton or Plain Dealing from Chicago, you have to stop here for a ham sandwich.
There's something about the lettuce, the way they toast and butter the bread, the mayonnaise (which is probably industrial strength), and then finish it with their own unique smoked ham that makes for what I consider a perfect ham sandwich. Rich, satisfying and the best way to break up a drive.
Order at the window and sit at the picnic table and watch big rigs make the wide turn at the intersection where the restaurant sits. Everything I've ever had here was fantastic and the place just feels right....American and pure.
Burge's has always been a treat for me and a place I look forward to on the trail through Arkansas.
The BBQ is so good here, it should be illegal! It is just that good! I love the hot link sandwich and washing it down with a butterscotch milkshake. There is nothing better. This place is as delicious as it is iconic and a good old-fashioned slice of American roadside. It's places like this, that made and continue to make America great! I LOVE it! LOVE it! And you will too! Hit it up on the way to Hot Springs from Shreveport/Bossier, or just take a nice Saturday drive and you'll be there within an hour or so, to enjoy some of the best BBQ you've ever had at one of the most genuine and wonderful locations that you've ever had it!
Review Source:I love this place. Every time I'm in town I have to stop. The slice pork po-boy is to die for. The place has great atmosphere, walk up to the drive through place your order slip inside and wait for it to be delivered. Round this meal out with some tots, fried apple pie and a shake. I grew up on south Texas BBQ. This is a great substitute when in south Arkansas.
