    This is a BIG NO!

I will preface this by saying that this is Mt. Orab, meaning, there aren't a whole lot of choices (especially at night) so in that scenario, it is probably 'ok'.  However, being someone who has had extensive experience with similar restaurants in downtown Cincinnati, I know that if it were not located in Mt. Orab, the doors would have closed a LONG time ago.

The outside looks really nice and there is an outdoor sitting area as well.  They were open until midnight on Saturdays which is why my friend and I went there around 10pm.

The place was dead, maybe one other table being served and a couple of people at the bar.

The server was 'ok'.  Kind of awkward and said some strange things but she was attentive.

The table was sticky and the overall atmosphere was dull, old, and worn out.  The inside did not match the glowing clean exterior.

We ordered 3 appetizers and I got my friend a couple of margarita's (celebration) and I had water.  The total was around $50.  I already planned to spend money for our celebration but the food was so gross, it really wasn't worth a dollar.  My friend was satisfied with what she ordered though.

The cheese sticks tasted like fish (same oil) and the marinara sauce was runny and didn't have a good flavor.  The chicken quesadilla that I ordered was served on an odd bright orange tortilla and the flavors were all lacking.

I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I see a lot of good reviews for this place which leads me to believe that those are locals who haven't entered the big scary world and only eat locally with nothing else to compare it to.  No offense in saying this - I also was once from a small town and didn't get out or know any better.  But, I definitely know better now.

Really shocked this place is still open.  Oh yeah, they don't believe in napkins either....... that says a lot when a restaurant lays your silverware directly on the table and are confused if you ask for napkins in a nervous laughter  'you plan to make a mess?' kind of way.....  NO!

People keep comparing this to applebees. Yeah I guess I could see that, except that every applebees I've ever been to sucked, earning the name "crapplebees" for me.

Butterbees was a nice find in a tiny town. I tried the grilled tilapia sandwich, it was well cooked, and tasted good too.

They have a "house brew" that I tried, it was solid, but not great. Not really sure who it was brewed by but didn't seem like the microbrewery kind of place.

Bethany, our server, was friendly and had good timing. The food came out quick as we got there right as they were opening for lunch.

Overall pleased, not sure that I'll be back in Mt. Orab any time soon, but would definitely stop here again.

I got two words for you: Chicken Tenders.

... Ok, maybe I've got more than two words.

This is your typical American sports bar, which means you're either going to be into it, or you're not. Do you like leather booths, happy servers and enough TVs to crush a small elephant (I guess if they were sitting on top of him?) Then this is your spot. If not, then it's not.

But if it is, get the chicken tenders.

Oh man are these things delicious. Lightly breaded and fried, plump chicken, everything I want from a tender. Plus, they have crazy amazing sauces, like southwest ranch or delicious sweet and spicy buffallo (that you can get the tenders spun in if you'd like.) Seriously, woah.

It is loud here in from all the TVs, and I was there during a fairly quiet lunch, so I can't even begin to imagine what it's like at night or when the big game is on. Again, either this is your thing ... or it's not.

But either way, try the tenders. Hot damn.
