Stopped here on way to Dallas from Galveston and then again on the way back from an Aggie Game. Â Must haves are the MacDaddy (pulled pork sandich w/slaw), armadillo eggs (Jalapeno with creme cheese wrapped in sausage some how!), and the banana pudding. Â Great Food and worth every penny. Â It's a small place but if enjoy the simplicity, this is a place for you.
On this last stop, got to meet the owner, great guy with interesting stories. Â This is a must stop for any road trip!
Stopped in on our way back to Dallas. Â It's easy to get to off I-45 in Buffalo.
Very small place with no indoor sitting. Â Sat out on the picnic tables on a beautiful day.
Brisket sandwich was big and delicious. Â The rub on it was salty and sweet at the same time.
Pinto beans and potato salad sides were good too but portions are way too small.
Will stop again on our next trip to College Station.
Ugh. We ate here for lunch this afternoon and now I'm sitting here, mouth watering, wishing they weren't so far away. This place is delicious.
We actually found this place because we decided as we were driving that we wanted BBQ for lunch and were looking for some Pitt something that we found on yelp, but of course my map app got us lost and we happened to spot this place. We figured, "Why not?"
It seems very new, and it's very clean. It's a tiny little place, easy to miss for sure but worth looking for. I got the pulled pork sandwich. It came with pickles, onions, and a very tasty BBQ sauce. This pork was cooked to perfection-moist, juicy, full of flavor, I don't know if words can even give this meat justice. My brother got the Mac Daddy, which seems to be their specialty. It was a pulled pork sandwich with pickles, onions, and a yummy coleslaw (and this coming from someone who doesn't even like coleslaw!). They did have a few sides to choose from. We just stuck to the sandwiches but now I really wish I'd tried some of the sides too. We overheard them talking to another customer about catering options, which would be a lot more awesome if I lived about 1000 miles closer.
I'm seriously bummed right now that I just happened to be passing through and the chances of me ever ending up in Buffalo, TX again are slim to none, but if I'm ever back this way, this is a MUST STOP place.
