Café Magnolia

Café Magnola has a prime location at the corner of TN-100 and TN-114.  The building looks fairly nondescript from the outside, and may cause many to just pass by, but that would be a mistake.  Inside they are serving up classic American food in large portions at reasonable prices.

Fried green tomatoes are a side dish, not an appetizer, and that should tell you something about the menu.  There are a variety of sandwiches that make for nice lunch offerings, including some wonderful homemade chicken salad.  There are also a number of dinner entrees, like lasagna and ribeye, and of course cajun catfish!

The real trick though is saving room for the desserts.  There's a board by the host stand that lists the options which will change from day to day.  Cheesecakes, regular cakes, pies, no matter what you choose it will be delicious.  We had the "Hot Fudge Cake", chocolate cake with ice cream, covered in hot fudge!  Makes me want to skip dinner and go right to dessert.
