Very nice to have Café Tandoor as a dining option vs. all of the "typical" and chain places you usually come across.
Food is good, though we find it to be a little pricey. The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean.
My rating is more of a 3.5 than just a 3. I enjoy Café Tandoor and it's a convenient Indian option when in the area.
We've been going to Cafe Tandoor (in Aurora) for about 10 years. Â It's always a good experience with excellent service and good food.
The pakora appetizers are a winner and their curries are very good. Â I usually get it Indian Hot and it never disappoints. Â
They also have a nice variety of vegetarian dishes and excellent selection of breads.
Try the gulab jamun desert (sponge-cake like balls in syrup). Â
Some nice beer selections as well.
Very, very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala. Â My husband and I shared it, along with the good Roti and oh-so-light saffron rice. Â We also split a chai. Â We both raved over the dish and the chai was perfect. Â
Despite other reviews, this place was almost packed.  Maybe because it was Holi?
My only complaint would be that our initial service was kind of odd.  We were seated and then kind of ignored, but their redeeming quality is that once we did order, we received our food within 10 minutes. Â
This was a refreshing culinary experience and was well worth the money.
