We love going here. It's always nice, well cooked food and a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. The servers are always attentive and interested, which is appreciated. I'm not sure why I never see more people in there. Maybe it's just because it doesn't look like much on the outside?

I was really excited to try this place and was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic service but the food did not meet expectations for the price point. There are other places in the area that are a much better value with equal quality food. I ordered the pan seared scallops and the scallops were about half the size I would buy at price chopper... Not only that, there were only 5 or 6 on the plate. I ordered a tomato mozzarella salad which was also skimpy, only 3 slices of buffalo mozzarella. My girlfriend tried the stuffed skirt steak and the portion was perfect. The only complaint on the steak was it was slightly tough and lacked a good sear. The flavors were good, my biggest complaint would be portion sizes and prices. For the money, I would personally go to Aqua Vino, Piano Bianco, Ancora or the TS Steakhouse.

We were disappointed. This place has such a pretentious atmosphere (white tablecloths, reservations), but it's totally hype. Food is no better than a typical hotel conference lunch. Just blah.

Cameron's Restaurant (new name, new ownership of Perugia's) was a delightful surprise.   Family owned, with a culinary-school trained chef, the service and food were outstanding.

Greeted at the door by the owner (who turned out to be an outstanding mixologist) the service throughout the meal was wonderful:  professional and courteous, with a down-to-earth friendliness that made my party feel comfortable and pampered.

The menu selections were all prepared from fresh ingredients (you will NEVER see a Sysco truck in the Cameron's parking lot) and delicious.  They offered to provide us by-the-glass wine from nearly every bottle on the wine list, which was a very nice bonus compared to other restaurants in the area.

Cameron's main competition I think would be the high-end restaurants in the nearby Turning Stone casino resort.  Having eaten at those restaurants on occasion, I found the food quality and service at Cameron's every bit as good and the price about half what I had paid at Turning Stone.  Plus the friendliness at Cameron's blows Turning Stone away.

Highly recommended, and well worth driving from Syracuse, Utica or beyond to get there!

This restaurant is under new management and is called Cameron's, no longer an Italian restaurant. It is an outstanding place to dine offering a  first class menu with a wide range of prices. Attentive service. And quiet, thank God. The review posted for Perugia could be applied to the new facility as well.
