I recently went to a wedding in Chelan and we had the night before the wedding girls dinner here. Â This place has really nice spicy salsa and a creamy green one. I loved it. I don't find this particularly authentic but it sat well in my belly. Â Then on the menu I like that they had small plates. I seriously do not need some huge amount of Chimichanga and they had a small one (still smewhat large) Â I say it's a good place to try! :)
Review Source:Ok, so we are here in Chelan for a conference. Â We are craving Mexican food. We decide to check this place out. I knew we were in trouble when:
1- Â NOT one Latino person working as a waiter, bartender, host, etc.
2- Â NO aroma of Mexican food filling the air
3- Â NO salsa and chips provided
4- Â Bleach blonde woman who sounded like she sucked on helium immediately informed us they were out of beef (snow prevented beef delivery....problem is there was no snow)
5- Â After taking our orders came back and said they were out of rice too! Â (again she blamed it on the snow)
We left and found La Brisa Mexican Food a few blocks away. Great food at La Brisa.
Okay - so the food is pretty good (actually, the puerco fritos was AWESOME) but this was, without a doubt, some of the worst service ever. Â Someone would wander by and give you a menu. Â A while later, someone would wander by and ask if you were ready to order - then leave to get someone to actually take your order. Â And an and on.... Eating time - 15 minutes. Â Time waiting - easily 45 minutes. Â And this was on a not-busy Sunday night. Â I know this is a casual restaurant but come on! Â Casual does not mean "we don't give a damn!" Â I would only go back if every other restaurant in Chelan was closed.
Review Source:Really great food. Some kind of mexican white sauce called crem-a is on everything. There's not exactly an extensive amount of food establishments for dinner in chelan...at least not within walking distance of the hotels.
At night, it is an absolute shitshow. Floors are sticky, guys are creepy, and the drinks flow like water. The music is sometimes ok, although I've never had them make good on a song request. If you are a girl try to shoot for the hidden upstairs party...
Served me meat enchiladas after I ordered vegetarian. Â When the server brought out the corrected order, my food was completely inedible. Â Shreds of unmelted cheese, cold guacamole, dry flour tortilla, and a frighteningly hot plate. I could not eat this food, and was sad to go home with an empty tummy.
Though the serving staff was kind about my whole ordeal AND paid for my Sangria, I will not be returning to this restaurant. Â I was unimpressed and the rest of my family said the food was just mediocre.
Lastly, having to pay for chips and salsa is dumb! No me gusta.
The place was empty upon arrival (Should have left then.) Â I sat down with my family and was shocked at how expensive the menu items were! Â Nonetheless, I decided to split an enchilada with my sister. Â The enchilada came wrapped in a flour tortilla and resembled a long burrito with sauce drizzled all over it. Â Okay at best.... I will not be coming back.
Oh.. And they charge for chips and Salsa!
I ate here three times this summer. Extremely friendly staff, pretty prompt service on all three occasions.
The food and drinks, however, were inconsistent. Wonderful salsas (they have several flavors - I find the tomatillo the most delicious but too watery to actually use on chips), amazing fresh chips.
We ate on a Monday and had a pretty bad meal - we decided maybe the staff had been up partying the night before. They served us what we can only imagine is day-old rice, sort of crunchy and not very good.
On 2 of the 3 occasions my margarita was not very strong and even tasted watered down, which isn't fair considering I paid $8 for it.
I will give it another try to see if things have improved - nice atmosphere and I like the concept. Hope they can get it together.
I would have to say that this is some good food. Â If you come in hungry your going to leave stuffed. Â We order the chips and dip, which is extra, but worth it. Â We got the apple mango salsa, very good. Â Then I ordered the wet burrito. Â This thing is packed full. Â They do not hold back of the servings. Â It came with a side of nachos and cabbage. Â Cabbage was weird I didn't eat it. Â But everything was good. Â Our waitress was very friendly, and very helpful. Â So I would say all in all a great time.
Review Source:Not much to say here. Â The food was good but not outstanding. Â You get plenty OF the food (which is always good) and the atmosphere isn't bad either.
We went on a Friday around 5:30 and at the tail end of summer which means all the party folks were gone. Â So a bonus there (getting in and getting served quick).
Waitstaff were friendly
Drinks were always topped off
Food was hot and quick. Â Everyone enjoyed there food. Â It just wasn't "ahh" inspiring.
Service wasn't great. The food was mediocre. Just because you provide a large portion doesn't make it a great restaurant. Â One of the meals was cold. When we ordered a second round of drinks we got completely different drinks. I would try another mexican restaurant in town like La Brisas before I'd go back here.
Review Source:we had our last meal here before returning to Seattle, the food and the service is excellent, though we're the only table in The house. we order the shrimps Quesadilla, steamed calm, mustache burger and sweet potato fried, and the Arroz Con Mariscos.
The shrimp Quesadilla is hot and cheesy, The beer buttered steamed clams is amazingly fresh and clammy, it accompany with warm chibata bread. the mustache Burger made with a hamburger on the bottom and BBQ pulled pork on the second layer, wow, accompany with the sweet potato fried. and the Arroz Con Mariscos were tasty as well, the shrimp are nice and big and fresh and the rice is full of flavors.
Awesome Mexican food right in downtown!
So we went there on a Saturday night on Memorial Day weekend. Â Yeah, bad idea, tons of guys and young girls, apparently there was a UFC Fight also going on. Â So there was some annoying kids. Â Not the Restaurants fault.
The service was fairly prompt, due to it being a holiday weekend. Â The food was amazing though. Â The salsa tasted homemade, the chips were really good. Â I had the Arroz Con Mariscos, and the clams and shrimp were really flavorful and good. Â The plate was huge and I was extremely content with what I got :). Â The plates were moderately priced, between 13-25$
Definitely will be back, maybe not on memorial weekend though!
