I think this place is really called Cap's Carl's (no "and").  My husband and his family spend two weeks over the summer in the UP every year.  Every Friday night when we are there, we head to Cap'n Carl's for all you can eat white fish.  OMG, it is the best.  You get your choice of potato (baked, american, fries).  Try the American fries, they are yumm.  Being from the South, I had no idea what these were until Cap'n Carl's.  For others that don't know, they are more like pan sauteed potatoes.  You also get a salad or cole slaw(nothing fancy) and a roll (I skip it so I have more room for the fish).  Then you pick your fish... fried or baked?!?!  Since it's all you can eat, you can get both.  I prefer the baked.  The baked fish takes up a huge plate and once piece is all I can eat.  It's topped with a lemon pepper seasoning.  I don't like lemon pepper seasoning much, but it goes great with the fish.  And don't forget to try it dipped in their homemade tartar sauce.  The fried fish is really good as well and you can order by the piece.  I get a piece or two when I'm done with my baked.  My husband sticks to the grilled.  He has put away three of those monsters before.  And don't forget to take home a pie or two.  I love the raspberry pie but they all taste good.  I almost forgot about the service... this is a family operated joint with a couple other people thrown in.  The people are super friendly and the service is great.  My only complaint would be that I want more ice in my water.  They also only accept cash (but there is an ATM next door).  But if that's all I have to complain about, they are doing great!
