I think this place is really called Cap's Carl's (no "and"). Â My husband and his family spend two weeks over the summer in the UP every year. Â Every Friday night when we are there, we head to Cap'n Carl's for all you can eat white fish. Â OMG, it is the best. Â You get your choice of potato (baked, american, fries). Â Try the American fries, they are yumm. Â Being from the South, I had no idea what these were until Cap'n Carl's. Â For others that don't know, they are more like pan sauteed potatoes. Â You also get a salad or cole slaw(nothing fancy) and a roll (I skip it so I have more room for the fish). Â Then you pick your fish... fried or baked?!?! Â Since it's all you can eat, you can get both. Â I prefer the baked. Â The baked fish takes up a huge plate and once piece is all I can eat. Â It's topped with a lemon pepper seasoning. Â I don't like lemon pepper seasoning much, but it goes great with the fish. Â And don't forget to try it dipped in their homemade tartar sauce. Â The fried fish is really good as well and you can order by the piece. Â I get a piece or two when I'm done with my baked. Â My husband sticks to the grilled. Â He has put away three of those monsters before. Â And don't forget to take home a pie or two. Â I love the raspberry pie but they all taste good. Â I almost forgot about the service... this is a family operated joint with a couple other people thrown in. Â The people are super friendly and the service is great. Â My only complaint would be that I want more ice in my water. Â They also only accept cash (but there is an ATM next door). Â But if that's all I have to complain about, they are doing great!
