Came here for the drive-thru on our way to San Fransisco. Â
Employee spoke loud and clear, was patient while we decided what we wanted. Â Didn't see too out of the ordinary.
Food tasted great, had someone feed it to me while I drove. Â Yes, feed it to me.
Didn't wait to long in the drive-thru, so it was awesome.
Not much to choose from at the Lost Hills exit over any other of the exits off the 5. I usually fill up my tank here because it's pretty cheap. I tried the Memphis BBQ burger (not the $6 one). It took forever to come out...not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. People comes to fastfood places for...well, fast food! But since it took longer, does it mean that it was cooked more freshly? I doubt it, but I don't know what goes on behind that counter. I know the burgers will never look like what they show on tv, but come on! You take something dead and kill it some more?!
I only had the burger, but it left my stomach left unsatisfied and my body got a bit sluggish. Still made the trip back home to SF fine, without any additional stops, but fastfood continues to remind me why I only eat it a couple times a year!
Stopped here for a quick bite to eat before the last leg of the trip home. The food is the same as any Carls Jr, and the restaurant and bathrooms are pretty clean. The thing about this place though is that I felt like it took foreverrrr for the food to come out. On the plus side of this, though, it came out hot and fresh. So maybe that's why.
Review Source:The only pit stop before heading to Temecula. I needed to get some food in my system for the final leg of the drive. It was a late night when we arrived. We were the only ones in the restaurant. It kinda felt like being in a horror flick. But, the restaurant was well kept. My only disappointment was not to find the 2 for $5 Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger deal here. I guess you can find that in the bay area. I just settled for the famous star combo with criss cut fries. This tasted superb on a empty stomach. I washed everything down with a cold Brisk raspberry ice tea.
Now with a full stomach, I had to counter the drowsiness. I had to down a shot of 5 hour energy. Full and wired! I'm ready to go!
Stopped here to satisfy a snacking (snack + craving) during our trip back from LV. Â
Restrooms were okay. Â Could be cleaner. Â Restaurant itself was clean.
Food was nice and tasty. Â I always think they could give more fries, and am not sure why they don't. Â Last I remembered, potatoes aren't all that expensive. Â Also ordered a Western. Â My wife did the ordering and we ended up with double the meat. Â Maaan, that was tough to finish. Â Sandwich made up for the skimping out on fries. Â It was warm, tasty, and delicious.
After a nice long drive from L.A we were getting hungry and decided to grab a quick bite. I ordered the the Guacamole Bacon Burger and all I can say is that YESSSSSSS. It was so well worth the $6.00 Burger price. I was driving and peeps I was passing up saw my face full of Guacamole and no I didn't care. I was hungry, tired and grumpy. When Super Serg gets grumpy he's going to remember about this big ass burger. I should be ashamed of myself because i was doing so good on my darn diet. The accountant had a Chicken Santa Fe Burger and the 2 divas I have had little stars.
The place is clean and quite busy as well. I normally don't stop too many times on HWY 5 but we were not prepared for this trip so Super Serg had lots to eat on freeway....... :-)
Carl's Jr is well, Carl's Jr. It's a) fast food b) a chain. You get what you pay for. Â Well, when you're driving down the I5 and in need of somethin' quick this hits the spot. Â They were faster than a 'normal' Carl's without a doubt. We practically sat down and BAM, our food was in front of us.
One employee, Luz was the light of Carls Jr with her smile and eagerness to help. Seriously though, her smile made me happy.
No change in the rating, I just wanted to let you know that I just visited this place yesterday on my way up to NorCal, and they are doing some construction on the front and inside, so only the drive-thru is opened. My friends and I were tricked into getting out of the car into the 100+ degree, stuffy weather, and turned away when we went to the door. I noticed others made the same mistake. Just wanted to save some of you some time :)
Luckily, this construction isn't messing with their service. The drive-thru lady let us make two orders and we got our food VERY quickly despite the long line! :) Go here!!!! They also have cheaper gas across the street at Valero :)
I definitely will visit again to see what the new dining area/entrance looks like :)
I know that this is a fast food restaurant, but I agree with the previous reviewer in saying that the service is excellent. Â We got all of our food easily and they got our complicated order with multiple substitutions right on the first try.
Now, I usually don't eat fast food, so the amount and quality of the oil caused me to be sick later, but it was okay. Â The rating above is mostly for the service. Â The food is fairly standard, as should be expected.
