My family and I live in Sealy so good restaurants are few and far between. We happen upon Carmen's because the restaurant next door has odd service hours and was closed at the time. We usually come to Carmen's for breakfast, but we have been here more than a few times and I can recommend just about everything. My favorite menu item is the chilaquiles. Although it's basically migas not chilaquiles since it has egg and also tomato, onion and jalapeno. My wife orders a custom taco of potato, bacon and bean and they are to die for. You can easily tell that everything including the flour AND corn tortillas are fresh and homemade. The food takes a little time, but like I said it's all fresh and very much worth the wait. The waitresses speak broken English, but they are friendly and are eager to please. In addition to the freshness and homemade qualities of the food the consistency is what brings me back. If you happen to be in the area give it a try. It's just north of I-10 and not very far from the freeway.
