Casa Lupita

Coming from Southern California, it is difficult to give high ratings to Mexican food unless you are in Texas (Chicago and NYC have some good places too).  This place is marginal at best - the food is definitely microwaved and not freshly prepared.  The menu is large and extensive however.  Service can be slow.

My wife would eat here twice a week.  I like it but once a week suits me. Food is good, spicy, hot, and gets to you fast.  I love the fajitas.  Good deals on the margaritas and they are nice and strong.  Kind of odd that the mural on the wall hasn't been completed during the two years we've been coming here.

Casa Lupita a drive from where I live but we met a group up in the area for a birthday. I would say it was definitely worth the drive. We went on a Friday evening and even though it was busy they were able to accommodate a large group with children.

The food very much reminded me of other Mexican places in the Dayton area but it was quite good and you got really big portions. Another plus was that the prices were very inexpensive. For my big portion of Fajita's and all the sides/toppings it came with it was only $5. That to me is a good deal especially when the food was good. Our server was very attentive and helpful even with his other tables.

If I am up in the area again I would definitely come back to Casa Lupita.
