Cat Head Delta Blues and Folk Art

More than just an excellent cd shop, it's THE place to go for info on whatever live music is going on in Clarksdale.  As for music, Roger behind the counter was as knowledgeable as you could hope for.  Name a bluesman, and he'll go through the various differences in recordings (quality, where it falls in the artist's career), give you a little history of the artist, name other people that he played with, and make recommendations.

Better than the independent record shop I used to go to as a kid, and that's saying something!

This stretch of Clarksdale has a really cool vibe to it. And Cat Head is one of the reasons. The store has music and art, which is about all you need in Clarksdale.
