These folks used to consistently make the best wings and have a great, fun place to visit. Lately, it seems to be in decline. Service is awful and the food quality inconsistent at best.
I was in there about a month ago. With maybe 15 people in the whole place, the barmaid would not remove her eyes from the three friends she was talking to in one corner. There was no waitress. We practically had to jump up and down and yell to get service. Our wings arrived with little plastic containers of _mayonnaise_ instead of bleu cheese dressing. And when we finally got them to pay attention and fix that, the dressing tasted funny.
I'm now afraid to go to this place and have to conclude that nobody in there really cares much for anything but showing up, making money and going home. It's a shame. They used to have such good wings.
Cheap Seats has gone through many owner and name changes over the years. I think they've finally found a winning combination. Â Big enough for a group, yet has booths and some intamacy for couples and such. Â Typical bar but with great food. Â Very good place to catch a happy hour or a Friday lunch. Â Lots of TVs and some bar games. Â Good crowds, not too many college kids. Â Good, fast bar and food service. Â I think they do Volleyball leagues during the summer. Â Lot's of parking. Â
What's not to like?
This here is my favorite watering hole in Oswego (and, considering just how many watering holes there are in Oswego, that says something). Â The interior of the bar is pretty big, large enough for a big group, and there is a large outside deck for those beautiful summer evenings. Â There is a large selection of beer and liquor at very reasonable prices and the food is both very tasty and very cheap (they have excellent wings and the fried macaroni was a revelation). Â On top of all of that the staff is very friendly and remarkably attitude-free. Â What more could you want?
