Clayton Drive In Restaurant

Whenever I'm in the area I really like stopping here. I have never tried the famous 'Clayton Burger,' but I really enjoy their french fries and a vanilla milkshake. I have tried the basic cheeseburger and didn't have any complaints about it. It was just a good basic cheeseburger.  My grandmother tried the Salmon Burger and was happy with it. I loved the small drive up coffee shack that was out front, but sadly it is gone now.

This is one of those small town places that does a little of everything, but none of them good.
The double burger I had was so overcooked and dry you couldn't have squeezed any juice out with a vice. The wifes food was about the same.
I will say the people are nice and the place is spotless inside.
If you are really hungry though skip this place and continue North or South.
It seems some people on here rave about the ice cream, didn't have any so I can't comment on that.

We used to get larger than life soft serve cones at Clayton back in the day. Now, the same delicious soft serve ice cream cones are served a little more literally...a small is small and not the size of your face.

Make sure to stop for a creamy cool treat.

I recommend the blue raspberry swirl.
